I’ve been here many times and have never had a bad experience.
Staff are very friendly and the coffee is fantastic (as well as the cakes!)
I’ve eaten here once and the food was great.
Came out quickly, was warm and really tasty.
Would highly recommend
Came for breakfast, had the traditional and coffee. Fantastic.
I absolutely love it here the staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble.
The food is to die for and very well presented.
It’s a little chilly, as is the whole centre but don’t mind sitting and eating in my coat I guess.
The biggest downside to this eatery is the price increases! Twice in less than a year! If it goes up much more I will have to stop coming for our fortnightly treat.
For a café in the Ridings shopping centre, the food is delicious. We had the eggs benedict, eggs Royale and cheese on toast. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. It may cost a little more, but I never mind paying a little extra for quality food. The tea was top noch too.
Went yesterday for a coffee and breakfast, ordered 3 full breakfasts for just under £9 which was bearly worth the effort. Asked for toast with it and found out that it was £1 per slice of toast!!! Ordered 2 hot chocolates that were cold and a mocha.
Not worth the hassle which is unfortunate because it looks like a nice cafe but cannot justify the price for the little amount that u get.
The staff at joys are extremely friendly and have great customer service. The shop is very well situated across from grind in the ridings shopping centre which is very well accessible and There is plenty of space for all people even those in a wheelchair.
Music made me want to drown myself in my milk disguised as coffee. Food was ok but overpriced for what its was.
Maybe with better atmosphere and music the food would have been better but it was like eating breakfast in the samaritans HQ.
Visited the coffee shop today, as I wanted to support small local businesses rather than a large chain.
When I politely enquired about the menu, I was abruptly told by a staff member that they had stopped serving food 4 minutes ago. Followed by a sarcastic and very unnecessary comment " that some of us have homes to go to.
We left the establishment baffled as to why the member of staff felt it necessary to be rude.
Can't comment on the food as we did not stay.
