I’m so happy I choose this place for my first fish and chips ever. Friendly manager and the food was super delicious!! Highly recommended for the real traditional experience :)
£5.50 for a large chips? Bizarre. The man behind the counter didn’t even want to cook the chips.
£3.50 for a small.. I did not order and left.
I bought a large chips in there a year or two ago and they were less than £4.
Is it even a fish and chip shop is the question.
Chips never ready, only cooked to order meaning a 10 minute wait and expensive
A few months ago I went into this Fish &Chips about 2100 hours… There was an older (50s) man there before me chatting to the owner… and a younger man (20s) waiting The owner took my order and told me to wait about 10 mins. This customer then said he liked Asian women and if I would give him one and tried to cuddle me. I swiftly moved out of his way and pulled my dog to me. The other 2 men said nothing and the owner kept on with his conversation with this older male whilst the young man was playing on his phone. I am in my mid 60s and was sickened that nobody told this crazy man to back off. After he left both the owner and the young man then slagged the old man off saying they were shocked at his behaviour. From their conversation it was obvious the crazy man was a frequent customer.
I will never go into this shop again and.., after reflecting it for a while.., decided to write my review.
First time at Jolly Bee tonight after living in Forest Hill for 3 months.
Delicious portion of proper chippy shop chips - crispy, thick and perfectly hot at a very reasonable price!
The staff are super lovely too.
Highly recommend!
Have been living in the area for over 10 years and this is my favourite fish’n chip in London.
Always get nice big pieces of fish, freshly cooked. The coating of the fish is just right and the chips are fantastic!
Aside from the quality of the food, the guys running it are absolute legends!

Brilliant to have Jolly Bee back and we’re having their amazing, totally fresh and crispy fish and chips at least once a week these days. Definitely up they’re with some of the best we’ve ever had. Lovely, friendly staff too.
Gutted. Came here after this place had been closed for a few weeks and honestly the worst chips I’ve ever eaten in my life. Frozen oven chips. Had them wrapped so didn’t realise until I got home. Didn’t even have the vinegar on I expected and tiny portion. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
