I do a lot of cycling and hillwalking in the Tweed Valley. This is always my first choice bakers to top up with savouries and cake for the day ahead. Nice friendly staff too.
Called in for a takeaway lunch whilst fishing the local river and I wasn't disappointed,
Bought two sandwiches and two small fruit pies and everything tasted like it had just been made! ...definitely will go back
For a take away lunch or breakfast roll all prepared on site this is the best in the area. No sit in facilities but this is one of the most popular amongst the rush hour workforce. The cake range outnumbers savoury and it is temptingly good and you can find yourself visiting too often. They also offer loyalty cards which you can use to get some freebies if you're regular.
A fantastic bakery, which has been teaching for many years serving the local community and visitors.
If you haven't before been, do go for all sorts of pies, fresh made sandwiches and rolls, as well as sweet treats.
I can recommend the steak and haggis pies, and the iced yum-yum!

Called in for a savoury snack about 3pm to find the pies had sold out! But was very satisfied with a ham, cheese and coleslaw roll. Perfectly fresh with the most delicious granary bap I've ever tasted!!!

Cycle toured through in 2018. Loved the lasagne pies back then. Made sure I veered back for more pies. Fabulous.
