A delicious place to stop for lunch. Really enjoyed the Thai Curry Chicken Pie, Pork Fennel Sausage Roll and Salmon Salad. Beautiful view of Lake Bumbunga with indoor or outdoor seating. Appreciated the friendly service and a clean cafe.
There is no other choice of restaurant near the Bumbunga Lake. Food is good and it is a great place to take a rest. Staff are nice too.
I call with a group for morning tea every few weeks. The service is always friendly, quick and efficient regardless of how many of us turn-up. The coffee is excellent and food scrumptious. The gourmet pies are a highlight, with indian and Thai curries my favourites. Everything is clean and tidy. The decor is homely and posters amusing. My only disappointment was my fault, after I failed to note it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Twice I went out of my way for one of those special pies to find the shop closed. But everyone needs days of rest and the sign gives fair warning.
Our recent visit was good, staff were very friendly and there is usually a reasonable selection of baked goods. Didn't try the coffee but will next time! The shop is directly opposite the pink lake and you can walk over and explore in under 2mins. Best views are during summer or a sunny day!
The coffees were lovely and very good quality. It is for sale so if you've got a cool nestegg hanging round make an enquiry. If you've got children however I would reconsider taking them into the shop. There is a rude hand drawn picture of a phallis hanging over underwear next to someone not wearing a mask. When I asked about who decided to put the rude picture in view they said they did. 'It makes people think about wearing a mask' Not appropriate. Just a lovely place to stop. The pie was absolutely yummy. The view is amazing.
