My 1st trip to London wanted real fish and chips so checked reviews. Jimmy’s promised me an authentic meal and they didn’t disappoint. While my food was being prepared had friendly conversations with proprietor and a customer about the history of Brixton. Wonderful food and people.
These are fantastic, proper fish and chips. We got 3x large fish and chips, tartare sauce, curry sauce and mushy peas and it was SO SO tasty. The fish was hot, crispy and fresh - delicious.
Ordered Cod and Fries and received Fish and Chips ;-)
Very good overall if you’re after no frills, traditional, fare. £12. Contactless payment accepted. Friendly service. Place looks 50 years old.
Was fantastic. I’m from the north so don’t like skin on my fish and they happily fried me up a fresh piece without. They gave me a million chips, I couldn’t eat them all. I was greedy and had a battered sausage so maybe why. The service is friendly. Best F&C I’ve had since living down I London, I’ll be back.
Excellent fish chips, mushy peas and pickled eggs. Really good portion sizes all served with a smile.
Delightful chipper run by the incomparable Jimmy and Raz. We arrived minutes before they were closing, and they served us three divine pieces of crispy haddock and a large chip that revived our group of weary wedding-goers. Thank you for the delightful fare!

The best fish and chips in London. This is my special treat when visiting my daughter and grandchildren in Herne Hill. So it's worth the drive from Kent. The family and anyone l have taken there from abroad have said it's the best cod and chips they have ever tasted.
