Not just the best pub in the area but the best pub ever! Great beer, awesome atmosphere and wonderful landlady???? ticks all the boxes!
A lovely community pub. We went on a quiz night (Thursday). The quiz was free and well run. Lots of people there, which made for a nice atmosphere. Not a huge selection of beers, but enough to keep me interested and I'll be back next time I'm around. They don't serve food but do have snacks. The scampi fries took me back a few years. As for food, there is a fabulous pizza takeaway and Chinese on the nearby square. Parking is at the rear for half a dozen cars and the beer garden had umbrellas; great when it's sunny.
The atmosphere only rated three because it was chilly. A great place for a pint and a natter. ????????
A Proper traditional pub with several brilliant cask and other ales. Cosy and friendly, with an open fire in winter. Also a beer garden. Well worth a visit. Live music with Sid's Buskers on some nights. And Ollie's Open Mic other another nights.
Didn't get to experience it properly, so I hope to do soon. It seemed lovely from what I saw.
This is a very well known and good real ale pub with the other usual drinks available. It's not easy to find but worth the effort. A pub that supports its local community in all sorts of ways.
Lovely little village pub. Nice selection of beers and a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon.
They had a selection of games available and a pool table in the back. We opted for the dominoes!
I'm told they are under new ownership and the decor has been having a bit of a refresh. The service was friendly and so were the locals.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
Nice enough little pub for a quick drink. The have numerous signs up around the place that gives the distinct impression that children are not overly welcome so by definition that rules out families really. We popped in as a family with 2 other families and we all commented on the signs...just seemed a bit odd. Other than that is was fine and full of character
