Great Service! I’d had problems with another garage where I’d bought my car from so Jamieson’s garage did a full diagnostic report for me and liaised with the other garage to help me get the problem sorted. They were very helpful, understanding and explained everything clearly to me. Would highly recommend, thanks again!
Had trouble starting the car once the temperature went below zero it would start once the temp went above but had to turn it over a few times everything pointed to the glow plugs. I checked how to test them with a meter and all 4 were showing as a bad plugs .Looked online for a diesel garage that could replace them as I didn’t fancy it myself too many horror stories of them snapping . These had a very good write up and reviews so dropped it off to be tested and replace the plugs. When I rang I was informed they had checked the car using a diagnostics obd reader and nothing came up showing that the glow plugs or connected wiring / relays etc were at fault they said it was probably a timing issue or backflow or maybe injectors and would need further investigation . I was convinced it was something to do with the glow plugs as it starts when it’s not freezing and once started ran with no issues so I took it to another garage where I’d had the cylinder head gasket and timing belt changed only two months earlier he plugged his obd reader in and it came up straight away faulty glow plug relay and faulty glow plugs they replaced them and it fires up first time even in sub zero temperatures so I don’t know if it’s down to their obd reader surely it should have found the fault but that £72 diagnostics check would have paid half the bill at the other garage . To be fair they did advise me to take it back to the garage that had carried out the cylinder head gasket in case it invalidated any warranty .
If you are after a first class no nonsense repair look no further, highly recommended.
I know my way around and engine and usually do all my own work but with being self employed, time constraints etc I didn't have the time on this occasion (work van).
So after asking around I was recommended these guys and for good reason.
No BS, no upsell of unnecessary parts or service's just a straight forward reliable service and I'm back on the road earning.

Brought my car here on recommend,however the service was far from good. Held the car a few days , charged for non existent repairs and and original faut still there on collection so clearly not checked. Look elsewhere
Was on holiday in the area for a couple of days and my windscreen wiper stopped working and the weather was awful. Popped in explained our situation and the guy slotted me in straight away. Did a temporary fix in about 10-15 minutes, explained what I could do if it went wrong (it didn't, got us home and is still working) and wouldn't even take anything for it. Very decent, polite and cheerful staff. It allowed us enjoy our holiday without the worry.
Would highly recommend and can't thank them enough.
