Very good experience, I took my BMW X1 to Johnny by recommendation of a colleague. Johnny is knowledgeable and trust worthy and also takes the time to explain the situation / diagnosis.
What would have cost me a few thousands to replace the part and cost of expensive labour at a BMW service centre, Johnny was able to resolve to extend the life (hence not immediately requiring a part change) and also affordable, so was fixed under a couple of hundred quid.
The additional benefit is, Johnny's garage is literally a 5 minute walk from the Galashiels train station, so getting there and getting back is an easy train commute away.

Very good at fixing pernickity problems in my car that had been to multiple garages prior that could not identify the proper problem with my car.
They just want to do anything to help, it's wonderful and feels genuine especially compared to larger businesses in the area.
Johnny is a genuine mechanic I have got my motorbike tyres changed from him and he is excellent.
Personally I would recommend Johnny to everyone but I would say his prices are cheap for the good quality service
Had a issue with my moped ,fella doesn't really work on them ,but said to pop it in to have a look at it , within no time received message to say it was ready to pick up,first class service,and v good price to get me out on the road again ,5 ????
I have been using this garage since it opened. I have received a first class service since then. all work carried out on my vehicles has been done perfect, on time and at a very reasonable price.
