Absolute gentlemen at Jacksons!! Took my car to Jacksons after a failed MOT at a chain garage. The chain garage wanted to charge me a fortune for a load of things that didn’t actually need doing. The guys at Jackson’s did all essential repairs so it passed on the MOT and for an absolutely unbeatable price! Will be using them moving forward for anything to do with my car. Thank you Jacksons!
Call out service about a flat tyre. Service was excellent and the tyre much cheaper than what I paid before. The owner came himself with a mechanic and they sorted everything in record time. Will definitely reuse.
My experience at this garage earlier this morning was stand out, the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a family run, local business. I took my pre booked car in for rear brake pads and discs, and asked for a confirmed price. When the price given was more than had previously been quoted, and £100 more than the front pads a discs just a few weeks earlier, I asked to be walked through the costs as this felt expensive. The front pads and discs had been £248, the rear was quoted at £350, which was still, on the day of the work, a quote...
I explained that this was more than I was planning and asked for my key back. The lady in the reception cabin then yelled out 'You walked in with an attitude, of course he doesn't know the cost!' to which I asked what part of asking for my key back was showing attitude. She the got up and confronted me, jabbing her finger in my face stating, 'You have a bad attitude, go on, take your key and go.' I asked again, why questioning the cost and asking for my key back was rude, and was told 'Go on lady, off you go.'
I left and closed the door, realised I was being spoken about so re-entered and said 'Do not speak about your customers when you think they aren't listening.' She smirked and said 'Go on, bye!'
I think it is fair to say that this is less than satisfactory for any business, especially one in a local village. I will now, take my business to a more professional garage.
Good friendly and reputable Garage, have been using them for almost 20 years. The garage has been established for almost 100 years I think (by the current owners Grandfather). They provide servicing for most makes of cars and always have a small stock of reasonably priced used cars.
An incredible family business where true customer service is witnessed. I have never felt so passionate talking about a company this much. I moved to Stevenage 2 years ago and ever since have only gone to Jackson's. They have gone over and beyond to help . They treat you like a community and truly care about your issues like their own. I couldn't recommend them enough. You just got to go in and speak and you'll see what I mean. From your priceless high end car to your loved every day car, they are super experienced with over 70 years under their belt. In a simple conversation you become super knowledgeable. They have a lot of connections and can provide you priceless guidance. It's worth every penny so just go check it out. It can be very busy as they as a smaller company but quality is incomparable. If they're not over loaded, you're lucky you'll get the chance to have your car serviced there. A massive shout out to Jeff at Jackson's and his whole team they are incredibly.
This review maybe super positive and hard to believe but 100% the truth and I'm glad to be able to share it with you. I have had my engined checked, exhaust replaced, battery replaced, car diagnosed and much more from several cars I've had over the past few years.

These guys are so helpful I had left my lights on and had flat battery in the high street the chap walked round and had me started in secs great service from a long established company in the area
Called 10 different local garages as my car broke down. These guys were by far the best in terms of professional and friendly customer service. They collected my car and brought it back a couple of hours later in perfect working condition. Also very reasonably priced, will definitely use them again!
