Best KPortal Reviews

Came in here because my daughter saw the picture of the waitress on the window with roller skates on so was expecting an American experience, as far from that as you can possibly imagine.
The restaurant was like an icebox it was absolutely freezing so much it was actually warmer outside, dirty tables, no-one in a rush to clean them.
There was some sort of meeting taking place next to the tills but no-one jumped to serve or to alert someone else to serve and waited around 5 minutes. After paying no drinks were given no sauces ect. Sat at the table and waited so long for food my children were shaking from the cold a man commented on the coldness from a different table and the lady who seemed to be the manager offered him a random fleece from behind the counter.
When our food eventually same we were given no sauce and no drinks so I had to go to the counter again I asked a younger girl could I please have drinks and sauce, at the time she was about to take a tea to another table she was right next to the drinks so she put the tray down and got me the drinks the manager then barked at her "that teas going to be cold in a minute" no offer to take over and help her she could clearly see the girl was multitasking yet she was doing nothing. There were several other times she was rude to the girl and it was noted by customers. The food was very basic, served in a plastic tray burger was tasteless no flavor at all. Sauce sachets of ketchup looked like they suffered from anemia. Kids were so cold trying to eat they had to get up and walk around to warm themselves up. To top it off took the kids to the toilet which was horrendous and neglected and there was no toilet roll. Clearly not checked.
Manger lady had an altercation with a customer whom called her a "rude ****" before walking out with her child.
No apology for slow service, cold restaurant ect
Wouldn't recommend or return there myself. Highly disappointed from a restaurant in such a key location.
Shame, cool looking 'American Diner' styling, experience & food choice, but no jukebox and the food & service is nothing like American. The place looks clean, if a little untidy, but all the seats are very shabby at best, ours was all ripped and the table setting extremely basic. The food wasn't good, it was hot, but budget quality ingredients, basic (no salad etc) and served in a plastic basket. You perhaps wouldn't mind, or would expect this if it were priced accordingly, but it's overpriced for what it is. Has so much potential given it's location within the Market, but sadly, not a place I'd go for burger or anything else again.
Wonderful Diner. I always home into American Diners. Omg what shockingly disgusting food. Absolutely rank. I guess you can palm anything off on kids as they don’t know any better but cmon guys. The food is Dire ( I politely edited my original choice of wording.I wouldn’t serve it to my dogs. Cheap and nasty burger, tasted bland and no option of salt to even help cover the lack of taste. Coke is bottled so can’t go wrong there. Not sure why payment was conducted at the exit door. Maybe don’t trust their customers. Staff were nice friendly and helpful which goes a long way. Only other criticism, Toilets not working!!! Everywhere says only customers can use toilets so ok I’m eating and drinking here but can’t pee?? Get your act together. Your ruining a gorgeous Diner.
Was looking to take my children somewhere for something to eat. Absolutely banging food. Kids loved it. Would highly recommend this place
Recently under new management this is our second visit and the food is really nice will definitely be back again
If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited an hour for nachos that were inedible and kids burgers and chips that I wouldn't even serve to my dog. My 2 year old got so fed up of waiting that he fell asleep at the table. Lady who I presume is the owner as she wasn't wearing uniform was rude and had an attitude that stank as much as their manky food. Waste of time and waste of money, avoid at all costs. How they have a hygiene rating of 5 is beyond me...
Popped in for a hot drink. Decaf Yorkshire Tea ????. Food seems Expensive. No atmosphere. Music from a cd player. Decor is 'Diner Style '
Visited for a quick bit to eat yesterday, just me & my 8 year old, his food came & mine didn’t arrive, when asking the staff they came 15 minutes later. I had ordered nachos & they came without cheese sauce & hardly any sour cream so don’t believe the sign that’s says they’re covered in the stuff.
Today it’s raining & this is the only place to sit inside to eat, I ordered an adults meal & a child’s meal, my child’s meal is bigger than the 4 nuggets & 15 chips I was served in a basket as an adults meal.
This isn’t a ‘Karen’s Diner’ but I’m sure the staff think it is. Every staff member I have encountered here is rude. Teenagers who don’t really care about their jobs or customer service.
There’s no point complaining, they don’t care & do not rush to rectify it.
