Absolute gem of a place if you're after a park up & a meal. Fab sounding for a walk & to finish off with a meal and a pint. The landlord is a great fella really friendly & couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be back.
This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway.
The rooms are very clean, well appointed and dog friendly.
I ate downstairs in the bar on both nights, excellent choice and very tasty.

So glad to have found a pub with great tasting ales and Sunday roasts for meat eaters (lamb, ham, turkey and beef) and more than enough choice of yummily cooked vegetables for vegetarians ( roast pots, mash, carrot and swede, sprouts, red cabbage, stuffing, Yorkshire pud, peas, baked creamed cauliflower, roast parsnips). Very tasty food and the gravy was delicious. Am just waiting for my rhubarb crumble and custard to arrive. Prices are very reasonable and I very much look forward to my next Sunday lunch here.
I dropped in at short notice with my dog Marley and we were both made to feel right at home. so much so that we booked a room for the night and enjoyed a very comfortable evening drinking with the locals. I enjoyed the 'grand tour' and saw all available rooms were done to as equally high standard as ours was. It could possibly be described as the perfect establishment, beer gardens, disabled access, good food, cheap tasty beers and friendly people.
Best pub in the area! Dog friendly inside and out with lawned beer garden. Also a bed & breakfast with refurbished rooms. Light lunches from 12.00 but opens at 11am for tea/coffee scones and cake. From 5pm evening meals start. Children's menu available too. Newly refurbished giving a smart clean modern atmosphere. Friendly staff so much so there is a free taxi ride back to your home or holiday cottage. Take away menu too which can also be delivered along with a bottle of wine from only £12 Wow!!! We love it and will be back thank you very much!
Amazing place, we had our first visit and loved it so much we came back the next day. The free taxi is a lifesaver, all the staff are amazing and the food is great.
We ordered wedges and they were out but the staff quickly offered something else instead and I'm glad they did because it was better than what we originally ordered. Fantastic value for money and will definitely be back ☺️
Nice pub with good food. Nice quiet carpark to spend the night in our motorhome, toilets open all night behind the pub. Chemical toilet elsan point in the carpark.
Due to a few "hiccups" I was like a piece of chewed string when I eventually arrived in my campervan. Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming. I didn't eat only because I was so stressed I felt I would be sick if I ate anything but the pot of tea was a god-send.
