We got married here and it is a stunning venue, with an incredible history. We loved every second of our time there. We appreciated the freedom that hiring a building without a wedding package afforded us. It meant we could do our wedding in the way we wanted to, choose the suppliers we wanted, and imbue it with our personalities, making it all much more personal than if we had chosen to marry in a stately home/hotel with a wedding package.
The team at Ingestre is friendly and helped us to set up for the day. You can hire the building for a private event (i.e a wedding) on a Saturday if there is availability, as it is a working arts school Monday - Friday. You get the use of the whole beautiful building including a commercial kitchen. We opted not to hire the accommodation there, but there is dormitory-style accommodation upstairs which you can hire. There will be a duty manager present on the wedding day, but we would highly recommend hiring a wedding planner or enlisting organised friend to run the day.
It felt important to us to support an organisation which is dedicated to educating children in the arts by hiring the hall for our wedding. This also meant we could support dozens of local businesses with our wedding, which is another huge advantage of getting married in an independent venue.
It is a 12.30am curfew. Music until 12am.
Visited for an anniversary and birthday, great venue sleeps alot of people in rooms of 5. Great views and plenty of space for large groups
Pleasant, beautiful place with a lovely garden. Sadly, the elevator being broken meant it was not as accessible as it claimed to be.
I came here in October 2022 with my SJA cadets and it was amazing. The views were stunning. The bedrooms were comfy and I enjoyed my weekend, apart from the amount of stairs there were.
Rooms are shabby and multioccupancy and mine didn't lock. Lovely old parts of hall. As a place to visit its nice and to do events and art classes very good. However to stay over its no hotel. To be fair it doesn't try to be. Good for club or school activities as a base. Do your own catering. We had a works event that was well run and just used the grounds and stayed overnight. Rooms in dire need of updating.
Great venue, for weddings etc, very close to Stafford.
Gorgeous location, with a stunning dance studio. The main staircase feels very grand and is quite photogenic. We had great food here, too.
Been here 8 times and always does a great job for our pupils. Great staff, excellent facilities and stunning surroundings.
