We have ordered from here lots over the last few years and portion size, quality, taste is lovely! The first time we ordered, we opted to pay cash on delivery and it was delivered on time. 2nd order, we paid online and had to wait 2 hours - not impressed. We then went back to "cash on delivery" and no further problems. Unfortunately, since the Covid-19 situation paying cash on delivery is no longer an option - you can only pay online before actually receiving what's been paid for! We ordered tonight at 7.30pm with an estimated delivery time of 8.45pm. Rung at 9.45pm to be told it would be 15/20minutes. An hour later rung again and asked for a refund as it's now nearly 11pm and we're ready to go to bed. Person answering the phone then proceeds to have an argument with my husband and offered to deliver the food another day!!!!!! Such a shame as this was the only Indian restaurant we would order from but not any more. We don't even know if our food is actually being cooked and delivered or if we will have to contact the bank, raise a dispute and get a refund that way. Such a shame that, for whatever reason, this place has gone downhill regarding their delivery service.
Food took 2 hours to arrive. An absolute joke but god forbid they take any responsibility. Seeing other reviews I’m not the only one who thinks this. You’d think they would rectify this issue but then again that’s taking responsibility for your business. Which they won’t do so enjoy cold food folks.
We have ordered here three times, now; the first time it was cold, and rather mediocre, as well as late.
Many months later we gave them a second try, and it was hot, tasty and on time.
We've ordered again tonight, and after over 2 and a half hours (about an hour and a half past their original estimate) cancelled for a refund so we could order from somewhere that actually delivers.
Inconsistent, largely mediocre and some of the poorest customer service I've come across.
Poor show, I don't know how they stay in business.

DO NOT ORDER!!! Very poor! Food was ordered at 7pm and didn't arrive until 9.15pm! When I rang after the original delivery time passed I was told that it's that the driver wasn't back he was not apologetic at all... I was told at that point that the food would be with us in 20 min which ended up being 50 min.
After requesting a refund I was sent a message saying that they were very sorry but there would be no compensation and apparently they put extra food in our order which is not true.
BE WARNED!
Late, again. 4th time consecutively they are late with delivery, I'm not talking 10-15 mins, it's 40 mins and counting.
Just eat stated 35-50 mins for this takeaway prior to ordering, when you place the order and pay the confirmed time then jumps to between 1 hour-1 hour and a half, this happens every time, then on top of that it's another 40 mins late - so over 2 hours for a takeaway.
The food is genuinely good and in fairness it always arrives hot so if you don't mind waiting an indefinite amount of time once you've ordered then keep ordering, but if you order food and expect it to arrive even close to the time you were promised then I can guarantee this food will be late, everytime, without fail. Everytime. Late.
We waited 4 hours from ordering to delivery!! We got a notification to say it was delayed, which I accepted, but then the time changed twice and when we rang (several times) I just kept getting told another 10-15mins! Used NHS discount from my pregnant wife (who was starving!) Won’t be ordering from there again!! The food was nice though, as per other reviews but seem to always be late!
I wouldn’t even give this place one star but I seem unable to give them zero!!
Absolutely appalling service, like others I paid through just eat and my food never arrived. Raised the issue with just eat, I’m aware they would liaise with the restaurant and issue my refund.
Apparently not!! Indian Spice lied to the just eat investigation team, stated they had delivered it. Just eat informed me I would therefore not be issued a refund.
Up on discovering this I called the restaurant only to be told they did deliver the food to me, they didn’t!! The man on the phone had zero customer service skills, his attitude was disgusting. I’d strongly advise anyone to think twice before giving these ‘thieves’ their cash!!
Ordered online and waited an extra 15 minutes beyond the hour suggested for expected delivery. I then decided to call the take away to which they declared that they were too busy to deliver and that they cancelled my order (which I was unaware of). They suggested I could pick it up, but as I have no means of doing so, this was not an option. Very poor first encounter with the take away. Currently waiting for a full refund, which they can hopefully provide a faster than their delivery service.
In addition, they also suggested that I could order mid week, which they "may or may not deliver".
Very poor.
