First visit to the Indian Express on Caroline Street, Cardiff Central.
Great welcome at the counter. The staff member was extremely helpful with what food was available. The selection of food was nicely displayed. All food is freshly cooked on premises.
On my visit I had Chicken Jalfrezi, vegetable rice with an onion bhaji and a soft drink.
Would I return again, yes.
Ordered Chicken Madrasi gravy today and we literally didn’t even get a single chicken piece in it. And do you call this chicken gravy? I’ve paid £7 only for the gravy base. This is totally unacceptable. Never going to order anything again from here.????????????
Absolutely unbelievable food. Amazing and just what you need after a night out!!! Boss even threw me in a cheeky samosa lol. Was absolutely unreal would definitely recommend to anybody. The cheese naan was amazing too!
Tried it there was once on the back of a recommendation, now I go in there on a weekly basis for lunch, great choice of curries, nan bread’s and rice. The guy who serves behind the counter, really helpful and polite, also always good with his recommendations.
I would recommend this place without hesitation, great food and good value for money.
The best food, the best company. Can’t beat the fresh chicken naan wrap. Please try! Mohsin Ali was fantasic. Everything was so fresh and delicious!
Came here after finishing work. Which was about 00:20am fair enough. Asked for a large box and was made to pay straight away (no problem) but the guy serving was so rude when I said “oh I want to order more” - yeah it done.
So I paid -
Then asked lamb
“That’s extra”
- okay that’s why I wanted to tell you what I ordered?
Sometimes you get an extra - sometimes you don’t.
I wanted to order more but was so put off by the dismissive attitude of the server- I left with less than I wanted and went else where for more food!
Not everyone is a drunk ordering and treat them better!
Great service, delicious food! The medium box is perfect size and you get two pick two currys of your choice!
We also ordered a cheesy naan bread but was too go to take a photo.
Been here before and the food is always so good and convenient ????????
In total, spent around £17 for two medium box meals, each with a side, naan and two drinks ????????
We came here three times during our stay in Cardiff. Whereas my travel companion tried out different curry boxes, I just sticked with the chicken tandoori naan wrap as it simply was that good. Everything we tried was delicious and prepared quickly. The staff was very welcoming and explained all the available dishes on request. I wish we had such a great Indian takeaway at home. Wish the guys all the best for the future! Keep up the great job!
