Non sono un intenditore di vini, ma ho potuto toccare con mano l'amore per la materia prima "uva" di questi signori che da generazioni si dedicano con amore a produrre vino. Ho parlato con l'enologo e con i gestori di questa casa vitivinicola e assaggiato tutta la loro "linea" di vini. Direi che hanno guadagnato un cliente.
Storica cantina produttrice di vino rosso e bianco di montalcino e del famosissimo Brunello. Disponibile l'acquisto di vino sfuso sia rosso che bianco. Dispongono anche di ottimo olio extra vergine di oliva. Personale sempre accogliente e cordiale.

Eine sehr große Enttäuschung. Wir sind am 19.4.2022 lange angereist und freuten uns, unseren Lieblings -Brunello endlich verkosten und besuchen zu können und stehen vor verschlossenen Tür und Tor. Kein Mensch weit und breit, das Weingut sah total verlassen aus...obwohl im Internet geöffnet stand.
My husband and I visited Tenuta Il Piggione Winery and based on our experiences throughout Tuscany would rate it good, not great. We’ve visited 50 wine regions around the world and 100’s of wineries and have had far better experiences. The visit at Tenuta Il Piggione was incredibly formal and if you like that sort of experience then this is a winery for you. However, if like us you prefer more banter and engagement where you learn more off the cuff then we recommend so many more wineries around Montalcino and Montepulciano where the staff are more relaxed and inviting. Also very disappointed with the organiser of our tour, Francesca. We had originally booked for 4 people but my elderly parents were unable to join us on the day. At the end of the tasting we were charged EUR60 - that is we were charged for 4. My husband and I didn’t realise this until we had returned to Siena and upon contacting Francesca by email to convey our surprise (we did not request a refund ) we heard nothing back from her. This was indicative of the feel of the winery - a sense of arrogance and not welcoming. A far cry from every other Italian winery we visited where not only the hospitality, but the wines, far surpassed Tenuta Il Piggione.
Die Weine genießen einen guten Ruf und haben ein halbwegs vernünftiges Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Die Möglichkeit zu Verkostung ist nicht gegeben, weshalb ein Punkt abgezogen wird.
