Il cibo non era poi così male come si descrive nelle recensioni viste, anzi era buono.
Peccato per il servizio poco attento alle esigenze del cliente e poco presente, abbiamo atteso 20 minuti prima che esasperati chiedessimo al cameriere di poter ordine i dolci ed eravamo da soli in sala! Per non parlare che abbiamo prima terminato gli antipasti e poi c’è stato portato il pane. Spero vivamente migliori il servizio perché credo sia stata l’unica pecca della nostra esperienza

a beautiful park, an ancient villa, a great place for a walk and a photo shoot. The restaurant itself was excellent, from the service to the desserts. Low ratings and negative reviews only indicate unfair competition.
The low rating is not fair for the restaurant and the hardworking staff. We had a dinner at the restaurant at the food was good. the burrata is so so good. We ordered the seafood pasta and catch of the day as well. Both were great.

Would not recommend dining here at all. The food was mediocre at best. The service was okay, this meaning the waiters. The staff that helped out with the wine kept finding ways to charge you more. The first night I ordered a bottle of Prosecco and when I tried to order another bottle they said they were out of stock, so they recommend a bottle of champagne. I thought it would be around the same price point, but it was double. The next night I ordered a normal bottle of red wine and when they brought it to the table it was a different bottle, so I asked why they had changed it. They mentioned this one was a bit better and more suited to the food we ordered so I was fine with that. When the bill came around I noticed that that bottle was also double so I asked to speak to the manager and explained what had happened. They took the bill away rudely and drop it off at the table with the price of the bottle I had ordered. No apology or anything. The hotel is great even though service isn’t that good. I would’ve preferred to go into town to get dinner than stay at the hotel. The ambiance was nice with live music but the food isn’t worth it and the hassle of having to check the bill to see if they overcharged is just too much.
We unfortunately didn’t read the reviews until we had our first course. The food was terrible and the service was very mediocre. We asked for more bread but never received it.
The pasta had no taste.
The menu is a QR code. That should have been our first clue that this restaurant was not on par with the quality of the hotel.
Strongly advise against eating here.
We ate here for many nights of our stay at the hotel. We were happy with the service we received and loved coming to dinner to have someone know our order. Wine selection was great and cocktails were also delicious. There’s a kids menu too. I wish their menu had more vegetarian friendly items, but we’re in Tuscany. They can adapt some dishes, which was super helpful.
We sat outside every night which was surprisingly not hot. There’s a green space that kids can play.
The quality of the food that we had was amazing. The only times we didn’t feel well from all the eating out on our trip, was when we went somewhere else to eat. So we finished our trip with eating at Poeta.
The prices are typical hotel restaurant prices, but the service and food justify it.
