This place serves authentic African food. Well cooked. It tastes amazing. The moi moi elewe (leaves) is moist and delicious. No regrets, no complaints. Whenever I come to the UK, Ikoyi Suya Restaurant is going to be my only African food place to eat. Kudos to the owners, Tunde Alaka and his wife, Remi. Yummy!!!!!
Honestly the food was inedible. We got egusi soup and there no soup at all, it was just overcooked and dry. Zero liquid! The meat was absolutely inedible. The whole thing looked like it had been left on the hob for days and days. Most of it was thrown away. I’ve never had a takeaway this bad! I never send food back but if we were in a restaurant that food would have been sent straight back without hesitation. I love African food, but I will never get it from here again.
Really quite disappointed. First ever time trying African food, so we ordered 2 lots chicken egusi soup and Jolof rice.
My egusi had one chicken leg that was the skimpiest, skinniest one I’ve ever been served and the meat was so dry and hard it was almost inedible and another bit was that literally just a bone, and the second egusi had literally just chicken bone, there was no edible chicken whatsoever.
I really wanted to like it, and when you’re paying over £30 for a takeaway you expect a certain standard. We ended up throwing most of it away and we won’t be going back.
Such a shame.
The jollof was top notch.
Owner was very helpful and the place has a welcoming atmosphere.
They also have Nigerian soaps on the screen while you wait, gripping entertainment.
Excellent service plus satisfying meal at Ikoyi Suya, you wouldn't want to miss it!
I'm coming back pretty soon.
Thanks for the first treat
The reason place like this don't tend to have many white customers is because unlike Indian, Chinese, Caribbean etc etc, we don't know what on earth it is. I've often wanted to try some African food but it's never properly explained what is in it or if it's spicy etc. The are plenty of African restaurants in Medway contrary to this guy but there are not any good Caribbean places
Very friendly environment. Yip notch service. The meal was fresh and delicious. Nice and hot from time of serving to finishing.
Food and service was amazing, definitely going back
