Great customer service friendly staff and always fully stocked

If I’m doing a small shop for my grandparents I order online as it’s easier for me and saves them having to go down by themselves as they are elderly. Twice I’ve ordered a delivery online and twice it’s been terrible. The first time the delivery didn’t turn up and my nan was sat waiting by the window ready and said the Iceland van drove straight past the house. When I rung Iceland they said that the driver said nobody was home, when in fact they never knocked. I had to go after work that same day and collect it myself, didn’t even get a refund for the delivery I’d paid for but couldn’t be bothered to kick up a fuss over £4. Today I ordered for a food delivery for between 7-9pm. I rang Iceland at just gone 9 as they’ve still not had a delivery and they said the driver is running a little bit late but should be 20 minutes, then said they have a new tracking system which isn’t working so is unable to contact them to see where they are. First of all how do they know they’re running late if there’s no way to contact them? It’s now 10:54pm and my grandparents are still without their shop and there’s nobody to contact as the store is now closed. Shocking service and a more efficient system needs to be put in place. I will be asking for a refund on delivery this time as my grandparents have been waiting up wondering if they’re going to come.

Store is clean and tidy but have found the prices have gone up so much lately we rarely shop anymore

This was a 1 star but changed today read to the end for why its sbeen changed.

Yesterday I missed my delivery because I had a txt saying it would be delivered between 6pm and 7pm so I'm doing stuff with that time frame in mind then he turns up at 5.25 so I ring the store this morning and was told that I had been re booked for between 12 and 2 today so that time comes and goes so ring the store back up and was told I wouldn't be able to get booked in for today so I ask to speak to a manager was waiting there on the phone for 5 mins thw line went dead tried to ring back 24 times was engaged for half hour then the same girl picks up says I can have my shop between 5 and 7 so I wait in.

now at 7.23 pm I have a message saying it will be here between 7.28 pm and 8.28pm then at 7.37pm I have the message through saying he tried ro deliver my food which is a straight up lie i have a doorbell camera to proove he hasnt tried to deliver my food. so if ur delivery guy is named Carl be very carefully as he obviously has no problem lying

Now I want to make a change to this as I spoke to a supervisor this morning and he really couldn't have been more apologetic and understanding and he has re booked for today between 12 and 2 and even chuked in a couple of free items as an apology so I raise my review from 1 star to a 3 star and it would haves changed to a 5 star but for the fact I have been messed about for. 2 days but much respect for the supervisor of the store

Everything you want from a shop that sells frozen food, great selection and also a good variety of fresh foods etc.

Decent store but the service is slow.
