Fabulous tea room in a lovely area surrounded by so many places to walk! Conveniently located next to a large car park for the National Trust (free for members) with public toilets. It's uniquely set up with covered outside seating nooks - so cute! They have everything from cakes and scones to delicious sandwiches and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop there after our walk in the woods nearby.
We stopped for lunch on a cool but sunny afternoon. We had sandwiches crisps and coffee, followed by amazing ice cream (I had ginger ice cream, an incredible taste. Wonderful food, helpful and friendly staff, lovely views of nearby landscapes and hills. Very highly recommended. Loved every minute.
Lovely place to stop for a Cream Tea .
Reasonably priced, lovely surrounding, friendly service.
Car Park is Nation Trust £2 for 2hrs
Blue Badge holders and National Trust Members free.
There are some lovely walks around Tea Room.
Dog Friendly ????????????
Excellent food, who doesn't love a cream tea in the sun?!
Friendly staff, great service, water bowls for the dogs and dog biscuits available to purchase. Lovely place
A quiet and tiny little village that hosts a beautiful tea garden.
Situated just a stones throw from some beautiful Exmoor walks ,(Webbers post just up the hill) and right next to a idyllic river, the Tea garden at Horner really is a spot to be visited.
You literally step back in time as you enter the garden as you are met by a well laid out garden with lots of nostalgic ornaments and arrangements. There is even a stall where you can buy some locally grown flowers and shrubs. (£2 each on average).
The service was brilliant. Judith, the lady who served me, was so welcoming and polite. She was very informative about the local area, and indeed the local produce for sale. I must say, Judith's sales tactics worked on me as I bought a pot of honey, and a pot of Jam (£12 for both)
Just behind the tea garden is a sizeable Natural Trust car park with toilets
This place is completely wheelchair accessible, as is the entrance from the car park.
Dog friendly too.
We treated ourselves to the cream teas. The scones were so fresh, they were still warm. At 2pm in the afternoon, that's amazing. For just £6 it was well worth it.
One of my favourite tea rooms on Exmoor. So pretty and a perfect pit stop after a lovely walk in horner woods. I can highly recommend the panini's ploughman's lunch and the cream teas. Well worth a visit.
Best place on Exmoor for cakes, afternoon teas etc. Birds all around, nestled in the woods with lovely walks all around. They sell plants but you need cash. Tea room takes cards.
The tea shop next door is a far more better place the ploughmans is so small and nothing like a ploughmans lunch tea for two in a small stainless steel pot that would only fill one and a half cups also the tray hadn't landed on the table before they where asking for payment there's lots of little things that make a tea room stand out and this establishment needs some of this bone China for starters green leads on plate with salad serve not the dressed iceberg tasteless and just full of nothing please take this as constructive criticism as I would love to return in the near future to see a super tea room that deserves to be called such
