I usually go to a different fish and chip shop but realised that due to roadworks between there and where I live the fish and chips would be cold by the time I got home. I googled fish shops near me and this had a great review and was in the opposite direction (no roadworks). This will now be my first choice. My husband and I had a fish each (gorgeous and very generous in crispy batter), shared a "small" portion of chips (massive) and a small portion of peas. We could not finish it but it was wonderful. The local birds (and cats) will get a treat in the morning.
We visited Horbury again last week and always have fish and chips, they are the best! Thank you.

Ordered 2 fish and a portion on chips here today, food was spot on, didn't have to wait for fish to be cooked like everywere else. Staff were very friendly and was amazingly priced. £5.10 fish & chips every were else I visit always £7 + will def be going back

We sat on a bench in the small garden across the road. Really quite pleasant.
Myself & my family stumbled across this little gem of a ‘chippy’ nestled in the little sleepy town of Horbury. Every element of the food was first class, from the chips to the battered sausage and the curry sauce is the best I’ve ever tried!
The service was second to none, which made this little find even more pleasurable. I don’t normally write reviews but my 8yr old enjoyed her food so much she regularly asks if we can drive the 100+ miles to have it again!
