2 full breakfasts with 2 lattes costing £28 which is more expensive than a cafe round the corner but! The quality of food and the coffee that was served justified the price and blew away the cheaper cafe. I'd happily come back again. Black pudding and Haggis were standouts and a nice orange yolked egg.
Cozy local place with lovely staff and affordable price We had a great chance to find this local Cafe to have a breakfast in this morning of Easter holiday. Local people usually go there for have a meal and talk together. I absolutely recommend it.
Wed 12/8/21. Waitress brought my watery lentil soup along with my toasty & stick in your throat lettuce with no condiments were on my table, had to borrow from the next table. Only one tea bag was in the large teapot which was put out on to a cold marble table, which causes the heat to dissipate, had to put some napkins under it. Their huge bowl of chips at the other table looked really good, they were large ,crisp & non greasy
Went in again on Friday 12/5/23 at around one pm & there were many customers in BUT there were short of 2 staff & even under intense pressure they coped very well especially LEONI. The LENTIL soup was nice & thick BUT it was not too hot ???? probably the right temperature for some & the Mexican chicken on my sanwitch roll was loaded & very nice too.
In I went again on Monday 15/5/23 at around one again with my friend who had a cold meat ham salad roll & loaded once again but this time I got my soup heated up nice & hot???? + my loaded salad rool.
My friend left her medicine ???? behind her & didn't notice it missing untill we got off the bus ????.. in Bo'ness, so I phoned the café to check if it was there & it was & he very kindly offered to drive up to her house ???? it.
Now u won't get much better than that - so in you go & support your local Bo'ness cafe ????
Popped into my favourite 'Hope St Café' in Bo'ness once again on Tuesday 3rd August 2023 for their lovely bowl of thick ???? lentil soup, but this time it wasn't anything but thick, at least it was hot & as usual their cold meat salad roll which looked lovely & was loaded & tasted just great.
Chicken curry and chips was great. The food looks great too. A nice quiet atmosphere.
Quality breakfast, good prices, open at a decent time and lovely people! Quite a few folks in when I was there just having tea and a bleather. Be aware the breakfast portions are massive! Would recommend
Always a great experience. Food freshly prepared and staff friendly
