Usually order from Hong Kong fairly often, last occasion we ordered a delivery which we didn’t hear when they knocked on the door. They gave us a call after around 10 mins to which we were verbally abused by the boss, for us we averagely spend around £40 and to get this treatment well it was just disgusting of them.
Would HIGHLY recommend not going here.
Great food and good value. I use it regularly for takeaway Chinese food.
Good food, great value, I use it regularly.
Still good on a recent visit. Prices are higher like everywhere else but still excellent value. They will deliver free if you spend more than £20 or for only £2 extra if between £15 and £20. (Collection only if less than £15)
We stumbled across this take away so decided to nip in. Must admit the shop didn't create a great first impression but by this stage it was too late as we had already ordered. We were sceptical but prepared to try the food when we got home. However we were both pleasantly surprised as the food tasted great. In fact the salt & pepper chicken wings were possibly the best we have ever tasted.
I used to go to this Chinese in the late 1970s when I was a 12 yr old at dinner times we used to have chips from here , I was at Vandyke school , the school dinners were rubbish so me and mates walked here daily for our lunch ,,,chips then 9p a bag I remember Ha Ha ,,, I lived inRidgmont some miles away and we were picked up early every morning by the bus and shipped into vandyke school , I hated it and many weird teachers , jimmy Savile days ,, this Chinese was good then and from reviews it’s still good , I’d just like to thank the owners for feeding us ,,, all those years ago ,,,may I say re building , don’t judge a book by the cover ,,,, it’s what’s inside that counts and I have font memories queuing up inside here it had a chip shop inside in them days maybe still ? , I’m no longer living that way anymore I’m now near Blackpool , Lancashire , but lovely seeing this take away still going and I think outside it’s not changed at all it’s same colour and frontage , “ Don’t Fix What Ain’t Broken “ even the menu looks the same 1970s one ,, and the prices still look good , ❤️ Love To All The Family , Thanks Again For Feeding Us At Dinner Times And Not Having To Eat Vandykes Sloppy Stogge , xx
Good value. Had 1 special chow mein. It could have done with a bit more veg ie beanprouts and onion. If they gave some water chestnuts/ straw mushrooms ( to make it authentic ) these would have me giving it 5 stars...tho' there was english type mushrooms, sliced bamboo shoots and sliced cucumber
Definitely go again
A real ‘hole-in-the-wall’ find. I had driven down the street numerous times and not even noticed it was there! The decor is classic and the family running the show have been there for some time, but the greeting, the welcome, the service and the food far surpass anywhere else in LBZ. It’s a pity it has taken us so long to find this place, but no more will we make do with passable takeaway now we have found a true Chinese ????
3rd rate service even worse food.
Now I understand why the place was deserted.
Wont be going back there again.
