We visited this newly opened establishment recently and was very impressed by the quality of the food. We purchased the chicken wings which were tasty and crispy and, as might be the case with some other takeaways, not at all greasy. The only negative point was that we were really looking forward to trying one of their milkshakes but, unfortunately, the machine was not set up yet. But this didn’t bother me a great deal. In conclusion we were very impressed with the quality of the food and will be visiting here again soon and wish this place 'good cluck'
Went in today to try Holy Cluck. Ordered the Hungry Bird Box and was pleasantly surprised at the quality!
The chicken tenders were crispy and very tender. The spicy wings were nicely spiced, nothing over the top and were very crispy and tasted great. The piece of chicken was very well cooked but could have maybe done with slightly more seasoning and the chips were lovely, crispy fries, similar to Burger King fries. All food was piping hot as cooked to order and seemed to be good quality ingredients. Very enjoyable first order from Holy Cluck!
I'm going to be as honest as I can with this review, because I think this place has every chance of doing well and has great potential to be a hotspot for the locals in the area.
My partner and I recently moved into Haverhill and we live very close to the actual takeaway. We loved the look of the brand and thought the food looked promising.
I thought to order ahead so that we could easily pay for and collect our food and then leave once we arrived as the website said there would be a 45 minute wait for collections. We ordered at around 16:45 and arrived there at around 17:50, which is delivery slot we were allocated.
Thinking we did the right thing, we showed up to fairly understaffed (around 3-4 people) and relatively empty takeaway. Thinking that our food would have been ready to go, we decided to order a milkshake. We would have ordered this ahead, but there was no information of milkshakes being served on the website. The server told us that it would be about a 10 minute wait which was completely understandable. This wait turned from 10 minutes to just under 30 as the noticeably understaffed team began to have a row, causing the majority of the customers inside to exit the premises due to the atmosphere being quite unsettling.
Unknown to us, our food had been sitting somewhere to be kept warm, but drying up in the process, and it really reflected when we got home and ate it. I greatly feel for the team having tried their hardest to make things work, offering us extras, apologizing, and eventually getting us our food.
All this would have probably been forgiven had the food actually been worth the wait, but unfortunately, the fries became unbearably cold and soggy and every bite of chicken was drier than the last.
Unfortunately, it has made for quite a negative first impression, but we are willing to give it another go.
The place definitely has a lot of promise and one to look out for. Even though we had a bad experience, we urge people to give it a try as there is plenty of room for improvement and the menu looks fresh and exciting.
We hope to have a more positive experience in the future!
Don't listen to the negative reviews! this place is the cleanest takeaway in Haverhill.
And there food is so fresh, not nasty and greasy.
The staff are so friendly and go out of there way to make conversations with you.
It's a rarity to see anywhere these days that understand the basic rules of service with a smile.
Honestly 5 ???? all.the way give them a go trust me will be worth your time.
So nice to actually have a takeaway that is not mega greasy and smothered with sauce and dressing keep up the good work guys ????
I've been a regular at Holy Cluck for a while now, and it's easily my go to chicken shop these days! Can't go wrong with any of the food, the Holy Moly burger meal is my usual though. Very clean shop, the staff are very friendly too.

Ordered for delivery tonight through their website. It took a little while to arrive as they were busy and that's understandable. I called just to check and the staff were very friendly and helped me out quickly. Happy to say it was 100% worth the wait.
My partner had the Mother Clucker which is a beast! She said it was cooked perfectly, nice fresh ingredients and was delicious.
I had the No Cluckin' wrap with all the extras added. Bloody delicious! As a vegetarian it can get a bit boring having similar things available at all the local takeaway places, so it's nice to have a wrap with a higher quality veggie substitute. I know it's a bit strange to point out a veggie item from a chicken shop BUT I really appreciate them putting the thought in for this one.
We also had the chilli cheese bites which were awesome, really delicious, little bit spicy and very fresh.
We will definitely eat here again!
Wow what more can I say I just order a take away now from Holy cluck and I was blown away . This is by far the best takeaways meal I have eaten in a long time .
Chicken burgers are moist yet have a nice crunch to them . Lovely flavour .
I can't fault them in anyway yes you wait a little extra for the food but it is well worth the wait .

A massive welcome and thank you Holy Cluck! First order, tasty, hot double cluck burgers and chips. Loved the popcorn chicken. Very friendly staff who welcomed us and our order was spot on!
