I bought my first car from Holmesdale Garage in 1991.
I’ve been a customer of the garage owner since then, and am still going back 30 years later. I’m about an hour’s drive away but I won’t trust anyone else - every time I’ve tried anyone local to me now, I’ve always got my fingers burned!
They’ve always been solid, competent, professional, open, honest. And busy, too, which is a good sign.
Beware! Took my car in here for an MOT and they failed it for a “major defect” on a suspension bush, when I had already worked on the car myself and checked these parts before my MOT.
I took the car away to another garage for another MOT and they found nothing wrong with it.
They are trying to create work and extra money for themselves! They should consider themselves lucky I didn’t raise a VT17 form and appeal against them!
Holmesdale is a great place to get all the necessary things done in your car, they trustworthy, and very efficient. I will recomend it anytime. Richard is very nice and with load of experience, he knows the job.

Got a flat on the M25 and still had a long way to go. The guys here couldn't have been more helpful and got me on the way in double quick time. Thought it would be expensive, but they were really reasonable and didn't try to pad the bill at all. Couldn't be happier.
This garage took 4 days to do what they said would be a 1 day job. Then when I get my van back the tracking was out, my stability warning light was on and my hill start assist was faulty, plus one of the parts they fitted shook itself completely loose within 2 weeks.
I then had to argue on the phone with an employee to get it fixed (he first told me to go to kwikfit). They did fix it for me in the end but that of course cost me ANOTHER day of earnings.
Reliable and friendly. They've looked after both my cars for quite a few years
