Best KPortal Reviews
Haven’t had a take away for ages from here because portion size smaller and it just wasn’t nice anymore we got chicken fried rice chicken and roast pork fried rice chicken balls and curry sauce was told it would be 30-40 minutes which it came in 30 minutes everything fantastic just like the old days thank you
We ordered food yesterday for 5 of us and it was absolutely awful! Not one of us enjoyed it! Prawns were reheats and the disgusting curry sauce was thickened by cornflour in large quantity! After spending £50 on food that went in the bin, we’ll definitely be going elsewhere! It’s such a shame as we were frequent customers of the old place but it’s clearly changed ownership where quality is not important!
Ordered food and I can honestly say this is the worst food that I have ever had.
I never leave bad reviews about any establishment however if the business doesn't care about the quality of food they are sending out then they can expect bad reviews online, hopefully improves their service.
I would rather not eat anything than order from this place again.
Been going here since it was sit in restaurants, phoned to complain tonight that my food wasn’t very nice and asked if it was under new management or kitchen staff but the person on phone couldn’t give me the answer. Will not be back I could of cooked a better curry myself. Lomond house next door is 5* and so much better.
Went to HS as a restaurant, back when it re-opened as a takeaway. In the last year it’s literally went from a 5 star to a 1 star establishment. The food is much poorer than a year or 2 ago but most importantly it’s the “service” that really lets it down. The person who answers the phone is so incompetent and can’t seem to stay coherent long enough to take a food order. This individual has got my food order wrong on 2 occasions but most bizarrely, answered the phone pretending to be a voicemail service on one occasion! Madness! That alone means I won’t order from HS again unfortunately.
After ordering from Highland Star almost every week since they opened, I can say I will never be back again after my most recent experience. The standards have been slipping for a while, despite prices increasing, but tonight, I received a vile excuse for chicken satay. When I called to ask if they would rectify the issue, expecting them to do so as I am a loyal customer, they insulted my intelligence by telling me the chicken had been cooked properly and "that is how satay is". I can assure you the chicken was raw and covered in slime. They told me someone would call back but no one did and when I called back was told they are too busy to deal with the complaint. I will never order from here again. They are risking customers' health by using sub-standard ingredients. Mistakes can happen but the customer service is atrocious and you are made to feel like a liar for complaining.
Been going here since they opened and even raved to friends about how good they were, called for a home delivery tonight, waited 1hour and 15mins for delivery, when it came... Soup was bland, no taste, salt and chilli chips were soggy, obviously sat in the box sweating for a while, curry was Luke warm with the curry sauce overly thick, again as if it had been sitting for a while. Called to complain and was offered an apology and they would speak to the delivery driver. Will never order from here again.
Absolutely best takeaway in town . Ordered collection when picked it up food smells amazing like a first class meal .
