We used to frequent here quite a lot, but not anymore. The food is absolutely terrible in terms of quality and for the price of the items you get essentially nothing.
I've eaten enough chippy's in my time to know when chips have been refried, and these most certainly have. Cold and rock hard.
Save your money and your soul and go down the road to the chippy closer to Bulwell! Much better!
Awful place.... Used this place because Apollo wasn't open and needed a quick fix for the kids.... Portion sizes won't even fill up the kids yet they charged full price.. a large bag of chips is like the size of a small cone of chips... Kebabs are like a child's meal... Staff are rude and very unfriendly and very arrogant!!!!.. Even when I had my 9year old with me... Never going to use this place again I will wait for Apollo to open as they know how to treat they're customers...
Gorgeous cheeseburger and chips. Not so nice is the fish. Avoid if you can. ???? The owner needs to train the new server however, he is slapdash, wrapping up the items and forgets things like trays or putting things together etc. He doesn't concentrate and carelessly throws wrapping paper around the food. We're paying for this as customers and it should be remedied asap. It's an easy thing to take care of the food you're serving to paying people. We can easily go elsewhere in this cost of living thing. The server is actually quite nice and polite, but really needs to work on the serving skills. People will start to notice and just go down the road. I've had two badly wrapped up meals now and will avoid in future because of this chap.

Lovely food! Everything is always cooked to perfection. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Never had anything to complain about, One of the best chippies around
I asked for a chip cob with cheese. I was given it and the person asked for £4.40.
I gave a note and received 60p in change. As i was walking off i thought that's really expensive so i turned back and asked the guy (who was now standing outside the fish and chip shop) if they'd charged me for the right food. He insisted that I'd been given the right amount of change and the price was correct. It wasn't until i got home and realised that I'd gone out with a £10 note that not only had i been overcharged I'd also been stolen from. I definitely went out with £10 and this was the only shop I'd visited because i was at work and had stopped for lunch. It cost me £9.40. The cob was not fresh and had broken into two. The chips were also undercooked. All in all a terrible experience
My local chippy and they do the best fish in Notts. Freshly cooked, big and meaty and not dripping in gresae, that and the friendly staff makes for a takeaway to look forward too.
After many years of using this place, its gone downhill. Staff are now very rude and aren't interested in the customers. Be a very long time before I use this place again.
