On holiday at haven and went in tonight (6/5/2024), chips were cold, would have said they had been warmed up. My partner found 2 small hairs in her food. Battered sausage was lovely though.
Bloke serving was a nice chap and friendly.
A true classic chippy - haddock deep fried in dripping - lightly battered with a delicious crunch as you bite into it. High quality fish - juicy and meaty. Simply the best!!

Excellent fish and chips .Good Friday was manic but the lady and gent cooking were fabulous, busy but everything cooked fresh . Travelling from Pocklington was staying at haven site . Came again on the way home was that good .fish lovely and meaty.
so the people who served me were friendly and nice, but i ordered a large chips which cost £3.50, and i literally turned my back and turned back and a box of chips had been placed on the counter.
thinking nothing of it, i thanked them and left... but i got home (I just live in the village. It's a five minute walk home, at most) and the chips were ice cold, they were hard and crunchy and quite frankly, repugnant.
the kicker? The box says "Fresh and Tasty"
I'm sure you can appreciate the irony here, the chips were neither
