Brilliant place, can't recommend enough.
The tents was well kept and well equipped for what you want from it. There is a restaurant on site which serves really nice food (and I mean REALLY nice food) the chips were awesome, the pie was beautiful and my wife had a burger which was fantastic too.
There is a bar attached to the restaurant which serves spirits, branded wine, lager beer etc.... but they also do small batch homebrew stuff which is top notch.
It is a working farm so obviously there is mud and smells but it's kinda separate so not an issue. The owners were dead helpful and chatty too which made us feel at home
We have just spent 2 nights at this lovely farm staying in their bell tents. We had our stay rearranged by a day due to high winds and Rachel couldn't do enough for us to make sure everything was rearranged.
The tents have electric set up and a powerful heater which was gratefully recieved as the weather was typical English weather cold and wet you definitely felt the warmth when entering the tent.
The toilet/shower block was very spacious and I loved the fact that they were Individual which you don't find on many sites.
The 2nd night we ate in the restaurant and Wow! The steak and ale pie was so tasty my son had the burger and it was one of the best children's homemade burgers.
We attended the reptile show, lambing experience and walking a dinosaur which were all great experience that my 5 year old hasn't stopped telling everyone about
Also loved the little touches in the field like mud kitchen, play house and book/games cupboard.
Finally I would like to thank all the team kirsty and her husband, Rachel, Laura and the other ladies sorry I didn't get there names for their great hospitality. We were made to feel welcome from the start and nothing was ever a problem I don't know where else you can go were your son is talking about lego and they produce a massive box of lego for him to play with.
Lovely couple of days
What attracted me to this place was its a working farm so animal noises and mud are a must
We will definitely be back
Our beautiful daughter Stefanie got married at High House Barn on Tuesday 22nd August we had the best day. Jason ,Kirsty and their team ensured the whole day and evening went like a dream. So well organised right down to Jason holding Stefanie's veil in place during a field photo scene!!
Informal boho style wedding pizzas chips salad just kept on coming they were beautiful everyone commented on how well organised things were.
Such a Stunning inside outside venue with beautiful fields for photos.
Children were catered for with the outdoor play park and array of games to play with.
Simply the best wedding venue Ive been to in a long time.
Thank you Jason and Kirsty and your brilliant team.
At the end of the night there was a mix up with our taxi home and the bar staff were leaving for home they very kindly took us back to corbridge
Thank you again xxxxxxx
Stayed here overnight and can't recommend it highly enough. Lovely warm welcome from owners and staff, who couldn't have done more to make this an enjoyable stay.
We had a few of their own beers from the cafe on afternoon of arrival, which were very nice. Next morning we had the full English breakfast which was delicious and excellent value. I will definitely be back.
Booked to visit Santa today and was not disappointed.
All the staff were amazing, food and drink reasonably priced.
The lovely lady elf, knew my daughter was a little worried about meeting Santa, so arranged for her to have a personal meeting with him before other children arrived. Everything they did, they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. Thank you so much.
Fabulous food and very friendly staff. Great service and child friendly. The Sunday dinner was amazing. Shame you ran out of sticky toffee pudding, but understand it must be popular.
Stall holder experience - I was a stall holder at one of the Christmas events. We were put in a freezing cold barn, leaking roof, with poor lighting and barely any customer footfall because we were so far out of the way of the main event. We were charged £20 for the space - no table or chairs provided. A lot of the stall holders left early as it just was not worth their time to be stood in those conditions with barely anyone coming in to look at our products. I emailed High House Barn to explain this and not even a reply. Avoid if you're a stall holder!
What a fabulous venue for our wedding.
High house farm staff were professional, friendly and kept our nerves at bay by making everything flow.
They were very accommodating to our off-beat wedding format (customised beer pump for guests to pour their own drinks, 3pm wedding, followed by BBQ, followed by band in the barn)
We highly recommend this venue for your special occasion.
Katie and I were very happy with everything.
