A birthday gift for a very special person arrived in time for her special day so we are delighted it only took 2 days to reach her. Thank you for such good service, and we know from previous orders that she'll love it!
The small shop here sells a range of tourist items, but the real appeal is the locally produced salmon and mackerel products from peat smoking. They include the smoked fish, and also a range of pâtés. An added attraction is that you can go to the public viewing gallery and watch some of the preparation process - though apparently it is a bit hits and miss. When we visited there were people slicing, deboning and preparing smoked salmon, fascinating to see.
Amazing smokehouse,suuuuper tasty fish,smoked scallops are just incredible...stop off here for a tasty treat,you won't be disappointed!
We have ordered smoked salmon from them for well over 10 years and the salmon is the best I’ve ever tasted, the quality is first class and the customer service again is absolutely first class. We ordered some salmon on Sunday and it was delivered fresh to Wiltshire on Tuesday morning. A real gem ????
Could smell the smoke house before we entered the shop … lovely ???? cute little shop selling their signature salmon along with cheeses and many more lovely little gifts .. staff were so nice too ????????

I ordered some peat smoked salmon as a birthday present for a friend who knows and loves North Uist. I cannot believe how quickly they sent it (less than two days from order to delivery from the Hebrides to London!) What’s more, a lovely card is included with my message handwritten on the back. I’m so impressed and will definitely be ordering more goodies as gifts as they’ve clearly mastered a really quick and thoughtful service. And of course it goes without saying the salmon is delicious... thank you!
Best smoked salmon ever, and great customer service. I've been ordering from here since 2004 after visiting while on holiday. It's now a family tradition to order for Christmas!
