Popped in here for a quick soup one day, then for lunch the next day. Staff are lovely and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the venison and mushroom pie if it’s on the menu! Nice relaxing atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome.
Food not special but pricie, complicated night parking system, doesn't open till 08.00 so no toilet in the morning if you need to start before then, but if your running late you have a good chance of getting parked.....I wonder why
One of the few still remaining good cafes, stopped here for meals and several nights parking up to last year very sociable owner and staff, great meals (used to order salad at times, never had so much on a plate,) absolutely spot on meals,
Owner is very pleasant, a propper wood fire and good food. What more do you need at a truck park. Great place to stop.
Great pub been going there years. Phil is great . Cannot fault him . Food great too.
30 September 2022...It's my first visit even though I have drove passed many times over the years. First impressions last so they say, and I was genuinely impressed. I had the large breakfast and it was excellent. The gents khazi's were very clean, and The overnight parking charge was very reasonable, absolutely no complaints, and do highly reccomend this excellent place to park up
Ive stayed here several times before but this last time was very disappointing, the prices have really shot up and the food this time was terrible, i ordered fish and chips the fish was dry and tasteless and the batter was hard and chewy the chips were hard and crispy, ive ordered this meal several times before and it was absolutely delicious but this time it was terrible. Think I'll stay somewhere else next time.
Staff were friendly and lots of cute dogs about. We were allowed to chill there for 5 hrs whilst waiting for breakdown repair and we enjoyed every minute.
