We were up this way and decided to pop in for a bite to eat while reminiscing about spending our wedding day there.
Oh boy was I disappointed, it seemed to be a small group of regulars drinking at the bar, one if the male drinkers language was terrible, every other word was an expletive, we wasn't offered menus so assumed food wasn't an option. We had one drink and quickly left. We shall not be returning as was left disappointed.
Exceptional customer service! Had a delivery there earlier today and was greeted by a very polite gentlemen! Highly recommend as you’ll be made sure to be in the right hands! Will for sure be returning.
Very friendly staff, Extremely accommodating. Lovely dogs to play with at the bar, very children friendly. Location. Excellent for going to get married at Gretna Green.

My husband and I went to the Hazeldene Hotel this evening for a meal, we were provided with a warm welcome, friendly staff and excellent service. The meal was outstanding, best meal we have had since relocating to the area 16 months ago - compliments to the chef. We will definitely be revisiting the Hazeldene again and highly recommend to everyone.
We got married at the old Blacksmiths and we were staying at the Smiths. £11.50 a pint for cider, all bar prices were far too expensive so we spent two early evenings in this establishment!! Good value and good atmosphere, we had a ball playing pool and karaoke. The married couple are going to the Highlands in January and will stop here on the way up!!
