We only wanted a large portion of chips to share... Harvey's were great! Perfectly cooked and delicious. Yes, we queued for about 5 minutes, but at least the queue was an old fashion queue with no queuing for a number and then queuing to collect. The person serving was calm and friendly. It is cash only, but we had cash on us so this wasn't a problem. We enjoyed our portion of chips very much!
Went there for an evening out. My dad (who is deaf) went up to the counter and asked if they had skin on the haddock after she had made a motion like she was wanting us to go forward to order. She was very short with my dad and we ended up going to Kelly's about 50 metres down the road, which provided great service and even better food.
My partner and I had a lovely cod and chios absolutely delicious and the pies are lovely aswell. Would definitely go there again well done.
Really really the best fish and chips ever had not a drop of grease was left on the packaging after we had eaten anyone wanting fish and chips in looe go nowhere else it was that good well worth waiting for it to be cooked to order
The best fish ‘n‘ chips ever. I have never had fish n chips like this. There was no excess grease and the chips were so dry and crisp. Well done “Harvey’s”. We’ll definitely come back for more.
Absolutely the BEST fish ???? and chips ???? in Looe. Easter weekend 2019, take away Good Friday and Saturday Night. Excellent service. Everything cooked to order, so waited a while, No Problem. Friendly, pleasant couple running the shop. Highly Recommend. Thank you. ???? ????.
Very disappointed to hear the owner of the store moaning to her collegue about my partner who ordered before he got cash out to pay. Would think small businesses would appreciate the custom from locals they get in times like these rather than moaning and being rude about someone who had qued for a while before realising it was cash only. Made my partner feel very uncomfortable and we can't understand why it was such an issue as there is a cash point 2 doors down. Very unprofessional but can't deny the food was lovely. Definately let down by the service. We won't return for this reason.
Absolutely appalling! The awful woman behind the till is a disgrace! She was fine until she realised we wanted to pay by card, and then became extremely rude. She reluctantly told us, after we asked, where the cash point was, but certainly wasn't happy about it! When asked if we could order and then run around to the cash point her response was appalling and unbelievably rude. She needs to be taught some people skills before she let loose to speak to others. We did not go back and never will again.
