My first but definitely not the last visit to this outstanding hidden gem. Pork Pies were next level, they were judged by our knowledgeable panel last week, the Pork Pie Appreciation Club are well versed in all things Aspic!
The pastry was to die for, meat grin was again not to course and seasoned really well. Moving on to the Pickle version, this was a Crowd pleaser, best Pork Pie & Pickle we’ve tasted!

First day at a local school after they were starving so popped in for a sandwich but got so much more. Huge Hot beef and gravy, stuffed ham sandwich and a tray of basil pasta with crisps
We found an out door seating area and the owner popped on the heaters just for us and made the kids hot chocolate and a hot Vimto.
We bought fresh eggs and cherries .
we bought steaks last week and they were incredible!!

Ordered a few hot sandwiches and it was inedible, the toast wasn't cooked, the sausages were over done not cut, bacon overdone and spam slimey. Waste of 20 quid. Young girl looked clueless and elder woman a dragon ???? ????
We use the shop regularly so ordered a hamper for Christmas. The quality of the turkey & gammon joint, along with the rest of the contents, was fantastic. Great service thrown in as well.
Have had a few things from here over time and it has always been good quality. Just had the new breakfast wrap and it is definitely recommended. Well done it was delicious.
Delicious food and friendly staff! Come here a couple times a week for my dinner. Sandwiches are filled to the brim and Lovely hot specials and pies
Always like this shop....but called in recently and bought a Spam and egg muffin....£4.20....won't be calling in again.....massively over priced compared to other take away food.....also no price list visible....if I hadn't flashed my card before I realise the price I would of walked......
Lovely shop best sandwich the meat is fantastic very friendly staff and your ready meals are delicious ????
