I would just like to say how great the service at Harold Wood Polyclinic was.
My mother and I visited this afternoon, and we was greeted by a lady at the reception, who was the dealing with the walk ins (unfortunately, I could not read her name badge to catch her name, but she was sitting on the far right of the desk). She was polite, well mannered and assisted my mother and I to a tee.
The doctor, Ben, then saw my mother and carried out the minor procedure in no time. He was courteous and used my mother's name at all times.
I cannot thank the team at Harold Wood Polyclinic enough!
Kind regards,
B
EDIT: Unfortunately, I have had to adjust the rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. I went to the Centre a few weeks later my initial visit, as a family member had developed spots on their body. We mentioned that they were in close contact to someone who recently had chicken pox, only to be told by the female Doctor (I didn't catch her name) that they looked like "insect bites". We therefore left shortly after.
The next day came by and the family member now had spots all over their body, as well as a temperature.
We visited the Centre once again, only for another Doctor to now confirm that the family member indeed had chicken pox!
Did the first Doctor just not want to do her job? Or was she just incompetent? Either way, I am at loss for words
So, in conclusion, it looks like this Centre is mixed bag. It just depends on which Doctor you get on the day!
If you need actual medical help avoid.
However if you want to see someone who should be in xmen as they keep you for nearly 2hrs and then a nurse can look through your foot and tell you what’s wrong amazing. Not only was she able to see if I have broken any bones, or injured my ligaments she seems to have diagnosed me with memory loss saying I may have hurt my foot slipping on the pavement. Truly an unreal performance on all levels. And then if that wasn’t enough suggesting that I should come back in the morning for more, although this was a once in a lifetime performance I don’t think I’ll be returning for an encore to see what other medical mystery can be explained.
I took my elderly mother for an ultrasound scan today. The staff couldn't have been kinder or more attentive and understanding. They were professional, calm and friendly and she didn't find the experience at all stressful. A huge thank you to the ultrasound practitioner and assistant nurse.
Went in with a sprained ankle just to check it wasn't broken and was in and out within 2 hours despite it being quite busy. Everyone was polite/friendly and Ben the doctor was great. Much nicer than a visit to A and E
Extremely rude and dismissive Dr on tonight. It would be nice to think that something might be done to improve this 'gentleman's' behaviour when dealing with patients, but the NHS aren't keen on taking action, unless it involves a picket line. The welfare of patients is deemed rather unimportant.
Really lucky to have this walk in centre close to home, especially for my little one who, thankfully, doesn't have to wait 8 hours at the A&E when needed. We've always been happy with both the service and the personnel. Very professional and helpful.
I went to Harold Wood polyclinic this morning at 7.55 to find myself 8th in a queue outside. They opened the doors at 8.05 and I then had to queue again at reception. I then saw 2 nurses and a doctor, was prescribed antibiotics, and was out of the building by 8.45. Everyone I saw was lovely and very helpful.
Receptionist squeezing friends don't care about people waiting there for hours and that my 2 yrs old is with very high temperature.
After 4 and half hour waiting I started begging doctors to take me.
I was 2nd in the queue but than they took 20 more people.
The worse experience.
Never again.
Never ever again.
