As country pubs go this is a nice one
Bar manager was very polite and friendly
Even going as far as looking for a camp site for us whilst we had our beverage of choice, as I had mentioned that I would like to stay in the area sometime soon and visit the bar again
Girl behind the bar didn’t seem to know much about the menu and kept disappearing from behind the bar. No children’s menu but was told we could have child sized portions of anything on the menu but we were then charged full price. Didn’t want an argument so accepted a small reduction. Visited on a Saturday mid afternoon, it wasn’t busy but it was really cold in there so we had to keep our coats on. Probably won’t visit again.
The new landlord Ton has renovated this lovely pub and given it a new lease of life. Ton, and the gang doing a great job - everyone made to feel welcome.
Just been down for food tonight - as they’re now serving and food which was excellent.. Tasty, ( 10 out of 10 for the pie ???? ) well cooked and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit

Very cosy interior decorated with items reflecting publican's passion to horse racing.
Bit cold when we went in but it was a nice place. Busy. Good range of beers. We didn't stay over or eat.
This pub has so much potential, but the cleanliness let’s it down. The ladies toilet, left me feeling dirty and wanting a shower. It left one only imagining what the kitchen must look like. Standards are very low on this front. A crying shame as apart from the tired decore , it is a welcoming drinking hole, with a great atmosphere.
Called in to the Hare and Hounds yesterday. It was unrecognisable since we last visited. The new landlord has really spruced the place up. Enjoyed a couple of pints and we were luck enough that there was a barbecue on in the garden so had a burger too. Staff friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back.
Bas, Ton and the team were fantastic to us during our stay in Wardington over Christmas 2019. Complimentary nibbles teamed with friendly service and great drinks meant we felt very welcome and got to know them in a short space of time. These guys are fairly new on the block so all the support is needed. Great job so far, highly recommended.
