It's not the tastiest Chinese food that I have ever tried, although it was pretty decent. I particularly enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken, the pork lettuce wrap and the seaweed.
Delivery was quick too, although it's done by a separate company (Just Eat), so all the negative comments on here about the delivery service are directed to the wrong recipient and are most likely hitting the void, as the restaurant is not able to control the delivery guys.
Overall, not bad.
I ordered a takeaway for 5 which was not great & consistent with a lot of very poor reviews already written. One of the orders though was for a vegetarian dish which had a piece of chicken, which for a vegetarian is pretty horrible to discover. When I called to complain I was offered a £5 discount on our next order & told cross contamination existed in the kitchen! We should have read the reviews & avoided this place. It does not deserve to survive & you should avoid
Worst customer service ever. Ordered my food at 19:30 was told the food would take 1 hour. Phoned at 20:55 to be told that the driver couldn't find my house and they have tried to phone me with no answer which simply is not true. There is a large sign outside the main block instructing delivery drivers where my flat is, if they were here they would have seen it. I was then told that they will now not redeliver the food. I kindly informed them I will never be ordering from there again. As I said earlier, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!! Ordered food from here tonight- never again!!! Waited over an hour and a half so called them to see where the food was - guy on the phone was so rude and said it was sent out half an hour ago but driver couldn't find our house. Our house can be found pretty easily!! We told him we hadn't received it so he replied well we won't send it out again!!! He refused to send us our food despite the fact we had waited over an hour and a half and still not received it!!! Disgusting customer service! We will not be ordering from here again!!! Really recommend no one else does either as the worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of using!!!
The manager and head chef ( Rambo ) is the most friendliest guy you could ever meet . The food in this place is excellent. The meat is always nice and fresh and the place is exceptionally clean . If your looking for Chinese in Maidenhead happy wok is the one place I’d recommend.
Do NOT eat here if you are vegetarian (or if you have any allergies). I ordered the mixed vegetable chow mein and specified further that I am vegetarian in the special instructions section. Mid-way through the meal I found a piece of chicken in my dish. After speaking to a member of staff they said this is due to cross contamination in the kitchen. It would be dangerous for anyone with allergies to eat here if they can't even keep a chunk of meat out of a vegetarian dish!!
Used to regularly order from here and ordered again this evening due to working late. Restaurant cancelled our order 5 minutes AFTER it was due for delivery - no reason, just cancelled on Just Eat. Not impressed, doubt we'll be ordering again!
Decent Chinese food with a wide range of options to choose from, can't go wrong with the chicken or beef chow mien and chilli & chicken chips.
Hit's the spot when wanting a Chinese
Although, food does take it's time getting here and sometimes ends up a bit cold. But most of the time, it's how it should be.
Very Helpful staff, and the price is fair for what the food is
