After a long search we finally found our go-to chinese takeaway. We went to order in person, were served by a lovely lady, food was ready in 10 minutes even though they were pretty busy!
We ordered chicken chow mein and salt and pepper chicken (to be on the safe side as we hadn’t been here before) and paid £15, which is a bit more expensive than the average. Worth every penny! Chow mein was a massive portion and was very flavourful, full of chicken. I don’t think we’ve had salt and pepper chicken as lovely as this. Portion size was good enough for two people, LOTS of seasoning, chicken was juicy and crispy.
We were so pleasantly surprised, will see how other meals from the menu compare but we wish we had ordered other things too!
+ To add to the lovely experience above, another great takeaway, food was done in 5 minutes, everything was fresh and piping hot, massive portions!! Chicken in black bean sauce was lovely, lots of veg and chicken, great flavour.
Definitely my go-to Chinese from now on. Food was fresh and tasty and didn't leave me feeling too heavy and bloated like a lot of Chinese places. Very good.
Set menu for three is very good.
Fortune cookie made me very anxious. "Inherit of a big value" means for me losing somebody I love.
Well I've had a few meals from here and it's always a hit and miss with the taste!
Recently I ordered from here again and it was disgusting to say the least. The chicken chow mien looked amazing but was tasteless and oily, the chicken balls were stale and chewy. To top it off the one thing that is normally ok was like porridge! The egg fried rice was so stodgy you could cut it like a creme brulee.
Well I ate a third of it and that was down to both wondering if my taste buds were malfunctioning and the sweet and sour sauce that gave it a little taste.
I did ring the takeaway to tell them as I was not happy and out of kindness to save them from dishing out any more of their sub standard food to unsespecting customers like myself. The owner said "so sorry, happy new year" and put the phone down?
Finally Its not all bad as I have had a good experience with their food previously but this experience has literally left me with bad taste in my mouth.
Only reason this isn’t one star is the portion size is pretty large. I ordered the chef special chow mien. Complete soggy awful mess, a pool of watery sauce at the bottom, you’d be better of buying a chow mien ready meal at Tesco or Sainsbury’s it would cost half as much and be the same
Fantastic Chinese takeaway, you'll definitely be happy after coming here
Delicious chow mein, curry, wonton and more
It's so good it even has nearby bus stops named Happy Garden!
Had a craving for Chinese food but my usual place was closed... on a Wednesday night too, what?! So I decided to risk ordering from an untried place and it was a risk well taken. The food came 10 minutes over the suggested wait time but it was hot, well portioned and very tasty.
The food is always delicious and delivered piping hot, by far the best Chinese Takeaway in Bath and I have tried quite a few. Good value for your money.
