I received excellent out of hours service from the NHS for a UTI ..painfully peeing blood and needed antibiotics. Hado Felixstowe was the duty pharmacy. My partner dropped me off at home and went straight round to pick up my prescription, she arrived at 7.15pm, Although they were scheduled to be open till 8pm the door was locked she knocked and waited till 8pm in case the pharmacist had just popped out but no one came. She went back at 10am the next morning when they opened too be told the pharmacist had not turned up and they would ring her when he did. She was also told he had left early at 7pm the previous day. They finally rang me a 1pm !!
This pharmacy is an actual joke, how they are still operational I do not know. My mother contacted them to ask when her medication that she is running low on is being delivered, as this pharmacy deliver late every single time and miss items occasionally. After the phone had been passed around three times someone with the the social skills of a brick come to the phone and said “Yeah… I don’t know what you want” to which my mother replied I’m trying to establish when my medication is being delivered. To which they replied in a very sarcastic almost laughing under his breath that he doesn’t know.. to which I said well it is your job to know when you’re preparing/delivering people’s medication. So their response was to hang up. With any luck the official complaint I have made to the necessary regulatory body will sort this place and their complete incompetence… however I just wanted to try and warn people to avoid this pharmacy like the plague! It’s not worth the hassle dealing with such an unprofessional business.
It's more than 2 weeks since I dropped my prescription off. Since then I've visited 4 times. This time I tried phoning. It took 7 attempts before someone answered - and they couldn't speak English and had to pass the phone to a collegue. I was told they were still unable to complete my prescription, but given no indication as to when it might be ready or whether they would be chasing it up. I've been using Hado for many years and it used to be SO good - not any more
Extremely rude. Took 2 attempts to get my prescription. 1 st time told me it wasn't on the system. Walked to the doctors and was told it had all been sent through and should be there. Walked back to a locked door with the lady behind the counter just ignoring me and shaking her head. After 15 minutes of standing there the man out the back noticed I was knocking and answered. He told me they were closing 2hrs early, but begrudgingly got my prescription for me.
Rubbish. 111 told us to go and pick up an emergency prescription for my elderly mum. It states they are open until 11 pm. We were there at 9.45, door locked, no one picking up the phone, online it states open until 11 pm. Knocked on door, rang bell and no answer. Absolutely disgusting.
My five year old daughter has a raging infection, I went to Hado at 9.15 pm the door was open, lights on, advertising board outside, person behind the counter, showing on google as open until 11pm - they then shouted at me saying they closed, please leave. The service was shocking. I now cannot get the urgent medication for my daughter which could lead to a kidney infection.
Also 99 pence paracetamol £6.99 - calpol that’s usually £3.50 is £14.99. This is profiteering and a total disregard to health.
I don’t usually comment on google reviews, but they are vile. Stay clear !!!!!
Useless place, advertise as being open until 8 and they're closed at 7.45.
Absolutely useless when they've been sent an emergency prescription!
I'LL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
I often visit Felixstowe,n and chose Hado Pharmacy as independent and friendly, and apparently competent.I visited at the beginning of the present Covid19 crisis,.
I was shocked they had raised the price of their otc cough syrup from about £1.69 to £7.69. I challenged this as a mistake, but this was refuted. I stated this was exploitative and unethical and would never use them again. They stuck by this price and apparently did not care
