I called in at about 6.45pm one evening on my way from Lancaster to Leeds.

The place is spotless and my order was cooked whilst I waited. I had the medium fish & chips for just £4.50!

Tried this for the first time the other day - unfortunately it was very disappointing. Arrived around 10 minutes after they opened expecting fresh food, unfortunately that just was not the case - the batter was soggy, the chips old & tasteless. The service was okay, the staff were nice enough but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the disappointing food. The portions are also very very small. Initially the pricing seemed pretty good but upon realising how small the portions are, the pricing is not good.

Maybe they were having an off day but I won’t be giving them another chance. How the food wasn’t fresh after literally just opening I don’t know.

Travelled 6 miles to eat at this fish and chip shop . Sadly I would not have travelled 10yrds after eating here. The fish was the size of a fish finger but no where near as tasty ,and the 12 chips provided were greasy and like the fish ,of a very very poor quality. Please be warned this is almost certainly the worse fish and chip shop in Yorkshire. A total rip off

Have never spotted this place before despite passing many times. What we've been missing! £3.99 for medium fish and chips. Portion size was just right. Enough to fill you up without making you feel uncomfortable! Crispy batter. Tasty chips. Biggest plus point for me (as am immunosuppressed and very anxious about covid) was how safe the whole place felt. No-one sitting around inside waiting for their order. Masks encouraged. Thank you - it was really appreciated. Loved everything about this place. Will definitely return.

I was told that this was a great chippy hence the visit. The staff were extremely pleasant but the fish and chips were rather unpleasant to say the least.

For £4.50 the supposed cod was an off shade of white (either pollock or old cod)in a soggy batter with a childs portion of chips. Thank God I didnt purchase the larger portion at £7.50

Superb fish and chips and great value too. I had the medium f&c and it was just enough for me. The chips are the best I've tasted for yonks !! They tasted just like ones I used to love years ago - I'm sure they must have been cooked in beef dripping 'cos they tasted so good.
