There is a small chapel to see as well as the amphitheatre plus a tea room which is donations only. Plenty of information about the history of the site which I found very interesting. But the volunteers running the site made it a special place to visit with their amazing knowledge, friendliness and humour. Well worth a visit. Recommended for everyone.
Loved visiting here. It was so peaceful and quiet. It’s easy to find and was a scenic drive. The visitor centre was closed when we visited but there is plenty of information along the path.
It is free to visit but even when the centre is closed there’s a place to put donations.
Quiet and peaceful place. Information centre & café closed when I visited but detailed information on boards at entrance.
Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. Some very interesting history.
From here you can also walk up Carn Marth to see some amazing views.
An interesting place to see (however don't plan a day out this is just what you see in the pictures) this was the start of a circular iwalk for us and it was a very, very wet day which only added to the laughter. An iconic place in Cornwall that I can now mark off but not somewhere I'd feel the need to revisit.
Enjoyed the mile walk down and up and around and around the Pit. Didn't realise it was famous as it says it is on the board.
Great little site, very spiritual and very historical. Just beautiful. I walked from Carharrack (took ~20 mins) and it’s a lovely scenic walk too.
A hidden gem, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a lovely tearoom.
