Diesel fuel
Best KPortal Reviews
Easy fuel and very handy as an on-route fuelling location going into the highlands.
However be aware you'll be nominally charged the amount you select to pre-pay and then this is adjusted by the bank later on when the "real" payment clears. The station could do with a poster next to the pump stating this!
Really handy 24 hour fuel stop. Fuel delivered by using credit card. Simple process and goes in increments of £10 at a time. No issues. Used 3 times in the weekend and so simple.
Pretty standard Petrol Station a bit over priced however It’s available 24/7 Pay at the Pump both fuels Diesel and petrol other services like air/ water ..
Fuel was a good price.
The shop had everything you could need, from foot pumps to picking up a full dinner with some locally made foods.
Unmanned but a bit of a life saver at times, especially on a wet winter night.
Friendly service and reasonably priced fuel
Caution: One of the pump nozzles for unleaded is still marked 'E5' when my understanding is that all unleaded at this station is in fact E10.
Also: on the pump display screen you get asked to choose what the maximum amount of petrol is that you are buying e.g. £10, £20...up to £100. Whichever amount you choose, that is what will show on your bank account initially. Then the correct amount of petrol you actually bought will replace this in your account (in my case, that was the following day) So not a great system!
Stayed in Arrochar for a week and this station was only a 5 minute drive from where I was. On the 1st day I went, there was no unleaded fuel and the system wasn't clear at all that the fuel was empty. Only after trying all the pumps, did the person looking after the pump, who happened to be walking past, tell me that there was no unleaded fuel.
Managed to fill up a few days later. Credit where it's due, the price was cheaper than anywhere else I'd seen in the Loch Lomond area. I had to full up at the nearest station which is in Luss at 182.9p/litre, but this station had it priced at 169.7p/litre, which is surprising given how remote it is. It was even cheaper than both Glasgow and Edinburgh when I visited both.
The pump is card only and there is a shop attached, but it was closed both times I visited. Just be aware, the pump will ask you a maximum amount that you want to fill up. The amount you select will be shown on your pending transactions regardless of how much you fill up. The actual total will appear on your bill once it's gone through.
