Best fish and chips I had in Glasgow, and what a charming little place this was. Bubbly waitress and ladies behind the counter. Don't get the curry sauce on your white shirts, it doesn't come off easy ????
When I'm in Scotland I always enjoy haggis and chips, and Glaswegian friends recommended Guido's. It was busy with locals on a Saturday night which is a good sign. A proper old-fashioned chippy with fast, friendly service. The chips were big and golden like they should be, the haggis with just the right amount of batter. Took it away and ate it in a little park overlooking the Clyde. Recommended.
An olden-styled Italian-Scottish chip shop that had fantastic food and the portion sizes were ideal, I got a small fish and chips, which was flaky and tender. Probably the best chippy I've had in the city and would definitely revisit again.
Really great fish and chips , coming from Londoner who is use to pretty average food with ridiculously high price. Fish was light and tasty and the batter was crispy fresh and not oily. Hand cut chips tasted fresh and amazing. Inside is a proper old style cafe with some real lovely members of staff and a massive menu. Would most definitely recommend a visit to this lovely establishment.
Visited yesterday for the first time and was so impressed by everything. Everything was lovely and clean inside, with spacious and clean toilet facilities too. Service was absolutely spot on, nothing too much hassle and really felt like staff wanted to make sure everything was how we wanted it- superb. Ordered soup, an egg roll, a ham toastie, mince pie, and a small fish supper - everything was delicious, cooked exactly how you’d want it all - I’m not a regular passer-by but i’ll definitely be visiting again, and recommending to others, 10/10 proper good grub and the service to match. Thanks guys!
Great place to grab a quick bite of everything thing Fried and Yummy. We came here with a tour, and would gladly return, who doesnt want deep fried Pizza! All super crisp and fresh, thank you
Popped into this place for a quick meal before seeing Emperor at the Barrowlands. I've got to say, this is a fine wee chip shop and the food served filled a hole.
The staff had a lot of energy and were a good laugh. The food was piping hot and wasn't greasy or covered in any kind of nastiness.
The prices were quite fair and I'd happily pay it again.
The only complaint I have are the chairs. I'm a big lad, tall, disabled and couldn't sit comfortably in most of them. This isn't obviously a problem for folks under 6ft etc so I wouldn't rate them down for it. Though I do like the aesthetic. The tables just aren't a style built for people my size haha.
Despite the gripe, I'd happily go back.
Fun place, great food, good prices!
