What can I say? It's a cheeky pad with a bar & kitchen plus the added groove factor!
Due to being in charge of operating mechanical machinery in the guise of a car situation, hardly no alcohol consumed! After having a couple of Salts Brewary 0.5% pints, I was pleasantly surprised! I felt like I was involved with the surrounded collective of party goers! The taste was more or less the same crisp palette defining brew you get from the bigger bros on tap, but without the added alcohol content and risk of temptation for more, leading to a stumbled walk home and an unproductive day at work nursing a headache whilst trying to remove the beer carpet grown on your tongue!
Although I didn't have the pleasure of tasting the food (which kept passing me by whilst trying to look blokey stood at the bar), it looked really good!
It's definitely worth a visit if you fancy a nice selection of local brewery tipples with the added bonus of some handsome looking food to soak up afterwards. All within a live music playing atmosphere with enough space to Dad dance (or any other variation) to your tipsy hearts content!
We try to go every Thursday night for the quiz, Lee, the quiz master is top-notch! The Groove pad has lots of varied and diverse bands playing downstairs, and there's also a very eclectic mix of beers on offer!
First time in here today. Great venue and brilliant play list. Can't wait to see a live band here. Definitely a new haunt for me.
Tom is a great host and I recommend a pint of Road Crew.

I was in Groove Pad last night. The band was great, the staff were friendly, efficient and recommended a really nice lager. The only problem was a guy behaving like an idiot who, as its a medium sized venue, was being a nuisance but the staff noticed and dealt with it quickly without it causing a scene or making it a big issue.
Booked for the brunch, told that the gluten free pizza was unavaiale, which left little to nothing to eat! Then was out downstairs, drinks were poor and very slow at coming! Very poor for the money. Waiting 15mins plus a time for drink because had to order then wait for upstairs to make and bring downstairs was not our idea of a brunch. Leaving sober, which never happens at a brunch. Deeply disappointed and won’t ever go again!
I went to visit this venue as a fellow rock n roll lover, danced to a great band and near the end of their set a dark haired bartender refused to serve me as he didn’t like that I was enjoying myself listening to good music and enjoying myself in a lovely music bar, I asked him why I couldn’t have another drink and he said you’re dancing too much and from that I have to say if you’re a fellow rock n roller like myself who loves to dance please avoid this venue as the bar tenders don’t seem to like people having a dance on a weekend to unwind.
Went here last night to an engagement party food was great atmosphere really good and the entertainment was brilliant well done to them loved it
Great place with the right mixture of people. Music lovers, ale aficionados or people wanting to have a good time all should enjoy it. I certainly did!
