Fantastic , I've eaten in and had take away from here, both excellent. Always willing to go the extra mile. Preparing items not on the menu. Really friendly staff, nothing too much for them, service excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Called in unannounced on a Wednesday evening and our party of four of was seated and served politely and efficiently. Food of a good standard, particularly for the price which was very reasonable, and hefty portions too. All four of us enjoyed our selections and the service was attentive and warm. Would definitely recommend it and, having tried the alternatives, Golden Wok is not only the best option for Chinese food in Hornsea, but it's an excellent restaurant choice across the board.
We haven't had a Chinese takeaway for over 3 years after being so disappointed with the last ones we have had from Beverley, the one before that and the one before that. Predictable issues of too much salt and sodium glutamate, causing thirst and discomfort for the rest of your evening?
So our initial intention while visiting Hornsea was to visit Sonali Spice for an Indian but on the recommendation of family members we went to the Golden Wok for a Chinese?
Golden it is. The best special fried rice £6.50, I have ever had and I'm no Spring chicken. Accompanied by a curry sauce £1.70 and a spring roll starter and my wife had Spicy singapore noodles. A meal for 2 for £17.50? Thought I'd added it up wrong
Faaabulous! My dish was rammed full of chicken, prawns, pork and beef and squeezed into it's foil dish. Even the free prawn crackers were nice and thick. Excellent spring rolls too!
The staff were very pleasant and the phone was non stop. We can see why!
It's put Chinese takeaway back on our "want" list and I will be happy to even make the 9 mile journey to get it!!!
April and we have had a family get together in the small restaurant section of the Golden Wok. What a great time we had. We went in early at 5 and by the time that we left it was full. So much tasty food. The young staff did an excellent job looking after us. Thank you.
1st time of using Golden Wok so we were a little apprehensive what the food would be like. We needn't have worried the meal that we chose was fabulous- hot and massive portions and with free prawn crackers. Will definitely use again and promote it to all our friends.

Wow!!! Called in Tuesday evening (2nd April). There were five of us dining. Two had starters - Crab Claws and Seaweed which went down well. Main courses were Crispy Shredded Beef, Special Curry x 2, Duck Noodles and a King Prawn Curry. Rices ???? also accompanied the meals. Absolutely superb. Will definitely return.
The food was beautiful hot and alot of it very reasonably pricedX we where sat in the middle of the restaurant and we where constantly knocked and bunched by ppl walking past we felt crammed in which made the hour wait for food frustrating x
Delicious food and very nice portions too. The staff are so friendly, the service is quick, with hot food. Absolutely no complaints at all, lovely meal, lovely experience we will visit again.
Absolutely stunning place. Satay sauce the best I think I've ever had, the sweet and sour chicken balls were amazing, light batter and bit pieces of chicken. Delivered to skipsea sands and a simple bank transfer , all sorted. Amazing place and so glad I tried it, will be my first choice place next time I'm here.
