food is awful bland tasteless no seasoning I actually feel robbed I never write bad reviews but I actually feel like I have wasted my hard earned money even a basic sweet and sour sauce doesn’t taste like sweet and sour I could have got it from Asda out of jar tasting better prawn toast literally tasted like toast with seeds on egg fried rice had no taste it might has well have been boiled rice ribs were chewy and tasteless and bland beef curry had no curry taste I will never use this Chinese again it’s disgusting to charge £25.00 for something when best part was prawn crackers they didn’t make ????????
Terrible they decide if you want seasoning on your food or not it's at their discretion, if you do want your order be CORRECT be sure you state extra seasoning for the normal food because if you don't it comes plain with the lady shouting at you in the background so unless you want to be disappointed don't order from here they are always right and the customers always wrong so deal with it they will make you! Shame I used these for years but I'd rather pay for something I order not what they wish to send..... I'll be taking my custom elsewhere from now on!

First time ordering here tonight, I order based on the reviews and I love salt and pepper chilli stuff and Singapore flavour foods. From a comment on here about the spare ribs I had to try and boy they didn’t disappoint one bit. Spice flavour and plenty meat on them. The Singapore chow mein was top draw also full of flavour and spice and always a carton of curry sauce to dip prawn crackers in. Travel the country as a hgv driver this is my now goto spot in the area
I’ve used this place for years and it’s always been my fave Chinese. But I think it’s been taken over recently and it’s just gone downhill. Processed chopped chicken, spring roll just bland and no flavour. Clearly powdered curry sauce. Not happy. Tried to call to inform them but no answer
First time I have ordered from hear. Very very impressed every dish was superb. Amazing Yuk Shung, salt and chilli ribs to die for. Sesame Prawn toast light and crispy not greasy and you could really taste the prawn. 5 star, one of the nicest Chinese I have had in a long that time. Also ordered king prawn and mushroom curry which I’m going to try shorty. Confident it will be just as beautiful as the rest. Well Done ???? Chef and Golden Rice. ????????????????????
We have started to order from here now. Their service is always good and efficient and I think they remember us because they popped in some food on the house on our last order. Being Chinese myself, the food here is authentic and tasty! Not greasy or old tasting.
My husband and i have used the golden rice for takeaways for at least 15 years. We have got to know Anita very well and knows us well as customers. We have never had a problem with the food and service until this evening. Delivery took 1 hour 55 mins. Then had to reheat. And lettuce that came with yuk sung was rotten and dripped rotten juices. After so many years never thought we would be writing such a poor review. My husband called to complain and had the phone put down on him. Sadly we will not be using The golden rice again. After more than 3 weeks would have expected a personal response after using golden rice for so long. After hearing there response we will not be using them again.
My fav Chinese takeaway in Birmingham, I always visit here whenever I stay at my parents, friendly and tasty.
The salt and pepper chicken is very tasty with special rice!
