Very reasonable prices for Marple (2x toasted sandwiches, 2x drinks + 1x chips = £14).
Service was quick and friendly, and without any fuss.
Very elderly friendly (even though I don't count myself as such) although there are a couple of steps between the top and lower sections, and the entrance is in the top section, and the toilet is in the lower section.
Sorry but a very basic cafe. No atmosphere. Good service but Nieces toasties was awful cheap white bread and not very appealing. Tea was weak as made in too large a pot. Whole place at first I thought was a fish and chip shop. Needs make over. Prices good which was just as well given poor quality bread and tea cake.

Popped in for a quick breakfast. Bacon barm cooked exactly as I asked and as I asked for strong tea they left the tea bag in which meant it was just as I like it. Spotlessly clean, lovely staff. Also HALF THE PRICE of The Locks at the end of the street!
I nip in here for breakfast once a month. Service good, food good. Just disappointing that for some reason mushrooms means 1 and tomatoes means a slice. Most cafés now believe this.
Had a Breakfast last week. The bacon had been put in the deep fat fryer and was very tough like leather. The breakfast tasted of old fryer oil . The woman was pleasant. I left most of my breakfast and so did others that were dining.. Gordon Ramsey needs to visit the cold store down stairs I Will avoid next time
Excellent local café, great food and friendly staff. Mega breakfast is mega, Grilled chicken salad is very tasty, as too are the omelettes. My 10 year old son always has the burger and tells me it's awesome and loves the milkshakes. There is also a kids corner with colouring books and crayons.
Dropped into the cafe for the 1st and last time!!! Ordered food for my young grandchildren...which we waited for..fine with that!!! But why not say that the cafe was closing in half an hour!!! The rude man actually TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS while the children were eating. We had to leave half of the food still on their plates!!!!!! Absolutely applaud at this.
Me and partner come here regularly and every time we arrive we are greeted very warmly and made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The food is outstanding, very well presented and cooked to perfection, I highly recommend them :)
