Tiny size for large chips!! £3.90 is expensive for this portion. I’ve lived in the village for 3 years and disappointed to see how small the portions have become. Unlikely to visit again.
[Reply to owner below]. I asked a couple of times if this was definitely large as it looked small. I could see the large boxes they are normally served in. I was assured it was a large. It was 3pm and I was the only customer so very little chance of a mistake.
By far the best Fish and Chip shop around. Every visit I am welcomed by the friendly staff and great service and a menu board full of chippy treats, the food selection is great and portion sizes are generous. Golden Plaice gets my recommendation 100%.
We have been ordering from Golden Plaice for many years, the food is beautiful and lots of it, and always served with a smile, the staff are spot on. The range of choice on the menu is great, something for everyone. To have such an efficient tasty takeaway is a huge advantage to our lovely little village :o)
Awful. Asked for half pounder with Doner Meat, said he couldn't do it because its not on the menu. Said I'd pay extra for a few slithers of meat to be put in with the burger and he still said no. Was quite rude as well, won't be going back there.
What a wonderful place to have fish a d chips. Very professional staff who takes pride in their business. The shop is immaculately clean.
Good size portions and a good price as well.
I would highly recommend the Golden Plaice.
