The Golden Lion held our Wedding event from the ceremony to the evening disco. What a fantastic place, what fabulous staff, and the management Scarlett and Allanda were just the best.
Cannot praise them enough for making our day so special.
We will continue going there regularly for lunch when we visit Northallerton.

We turned up on a Friday night and there was only one person serving. I didn't expect food to be available but she worked her magic and came up with a pretty decent hot beef sandwich whilst serving the entire pub! Hats off for customer service.
Family birthday so enjoyed a family Sunday Lunch out, without the worry of having to cook or washing up myself. Six of us were dining and we chose 3 different meals so we were spoilt as that's a " no go" at home. Food was lovely.
Atmosphere was quiet but understandable as we are not that far away from Xmas now & more people will start going out for their Christmas meals and work do's. Great for us as it meant the pool table was available to use. Lovely quaint surroundings.
Service was excellent as Dougie was very attentive, the serving staff were polite and couteous.
If you get the chance to pop I don't think you'll be disappointed.
A nice, homely local pub. Friendly staff. The food was cheap, £9 for a drink and a meal, but was very good. They serve food after 5pm
There is a minimum card purchase of £5 though so be careful if you don't carry cash like me.
An amazing welcome we received today by our hosts Doug and Pearl. who were both attentive and friendly. All the food was cooked to perfection and very generous food portions. If you are looking for traditional home cooked food and friendly service I can highly recommend
