Recently moved to the area from York, this is our favourite takeaway so far. Great service, great food. Best Chinese food we’ve had in a long time.
Amazing food. We had crispy chicken kung po lemon chicken soft noodles fried rice and chips. Really flavoursome. I think this might be my favourite takeaway now. As you can tell by the empty plates I think the family agrees.
Totally disgusting way to run a business. It’s all in the review picture below put on trip advisor.
Never will we order from here again.

Been mine and my partners regular Chinese for over a year now - order at least once a fortnight.
Lady on the phone always answers even when customers are in store and asks you to wait a moment, so your calls always get answered and you aren't spamming with calls if they're busy in store.
Whenever I go to pick up, there's always at least another person in store or the phone ringing - clearly busy which speaks for itself!
Always accomodating to mine and my partners alterations (chicken in chilli and garlic sauce, only broccoli for veg, chicken kung po with extra sauce, soft noodles no veg). Decently priced, always piping hot whether delivered or picked up.
Fully recommend Golden Gate for Chinese takeaway.
Food arrived we ask for chow mein and Singapore vermicelli with only chicken. We received noodles and chicken cooked in salty soya sauce as a chow mein. Then the Singapore vermicelli with chicken was tasteless and was like super noodles with chicken. I rang and spoke with a very rude lady who needs to learn about customer service, who had a go at me when I said that the food was not what it should be and I was greeted with verbal abuse when calmly I said that chow mein has more than just dry salty noodles and chicken which clearly states on the menu. I was shouted at and told there are 3 different ones and should of explained properly when ordering what i wanted correctly. Then after more abuse the manager came on the phone he was very rude and said the exact same thing as the rude lady. I have checked the menu and there is only one chicken chow main which clearly states other items in the dish. When trying to ask them to stop shouting at me I explained about my partner meal which was again uneadable and was like super noodles with chicken , he continued to shout at me. Don't order here only cares about money and to add to that as we scrapped the food in the bin there was a hair and black stuff that looked like it was scrapped of the pan. Dirty food. Then he puts the phone down on me. Thats all fine I will take it further. I would not feed an animal this. Never have i had such abuse from anyone. We work hard and take aways are a rare treat for people these days and £15 was binned. Maybe I will call NYCC to inform environmental health as I have read a lot of the same complaints regarding this establishment to save others from the same abuse and strange food.
Our favourite Chinese takeaway in Harrogate so far. Nice crispy prawn toast. We love the crispy duck, but (as usual with all takeaways) have to order extra pancakes. Favourite dish so far - salt and pepper prawns. You can ask for chillies to be left out on the spicier dishes.
Lady on phone terribly rude, trying to accuse me of playing tricks when I was trying to pay over the phone with card details. I will not be ordering from them again, she really needs to learn what customer service means. Also food is really average, plenty of better chinese in Harrogate.
