This review is probably a little biased as my grandparents owned this pub many years ago and invokes memories of growing up and visiting them a long time ago.
Not much has changed over the years to be honest. The pub sits in the centre of Stonehouse and has an array of drinks you can order.
There is a function room / skittle alley that can be booked for events etc.
Pre-warning to anyone visiting it was cash only last time I went which meant quickly scurrying to find someone to lend me some money to pay the bill before running to the cash machine.
Most welcoming local always pop in when back in the area great place to let hair down and have a nice drink in a welcoming environment.
Has pool tables dart board and skittle alley function room.
Juke box and best everyone is so friendly.
Super local spot. One of the oldest buildings in stonehouse.
The staff was super friendly and helped us get all kinds of information. (Way more than what their job entails) :D
We are on a trip in this area tracing our ancestry and I know my great grandfather had a pint or two here as well.

A proper pub. May seem rough when you first go in. That is until you discover the landlord Terry and his amazing team run a great pub. The locals are what I love though. They have to be the most friendly people I ever met
Every Thursday I volunteer for disabled adults, and this is one of the very few pubs in the Stroud area that is friendly and helpful and has disabled access for one of the adults that is in a wheelchair.
We came here to play skittles last year, and they loved it so we keep coming back!
The bar man is super friendly and patient as well!

Popped in for a quick drink Saturday evening. The place was deserted. Looked really nice from the outside. Might get busier on a skittles night, that's if they have a team. Would not go in again.
